Totally agree with you. We have seen comforting from so many couples for so long and we know the difference. You can also see the way she looks at him.
What does being married means now a days?.
Stranger things happen on this show. I mean, I know they weren't married, but they were living together when Flavia had her affair with Matt di Angelo (right in front of Vincent), egged on by Tess Daly...

IIRC Everyone also said it about Aljaz and Abbey and nothing was going on there.
I think she was just trying to make him feel better about the mistakes tbh. I think Aliona knew that Jay would be feeling like he let her down so she gave him a kiss on the cheek to say "I'm your teacher and you haven't let me down." Some people are tactile and affectionate without it meaning anything sexual.

She actually got to the final.
But yes you are right, uou coukd see it was in his head, so the if the slips were bad, but mostly as it was all on him and in his head. It will be interesting to see how he handles it, next week if he goes through he will have no pressure to do well so may co e out with a great dance, then have to deal with it all over again.

I recall Pamela Stephenson on Graham Norton while she was doing Strictly, being a psychotherapist she commented on how hard it is for the Celebs to emotionally comprehend what is happening sometimes.
Her main point was that professional dancers can grind their crotch into a complete stranger without thinking twice. They do it every day and are paid for it.
However, an "ordinary" person (even a Celeb) can get emotionally stirred up by being very physically close to someone else for an intense and lengthy period, so she said it was not surprising that a lot of the Celebs "fall" for their dance partners in some way.
Obviously it is whether the dance partner chooses to reciprocate such feelings when the "problems" may start.

I must admit that caught my eye too. I was looking though because just before that they were holding hands and then clapping without leaving go which i thought slightly suspect.

I noticed that too. To be honest, when she was being touchy feely with him just after their dance and when they were being interviewed by Claudia I didn't think too much in to it, like others I just saw it as her reassuring him. However, when I spotted them behind Claudia cuddling each other near the end of the show I did kind of find it a bit odd I must say.
I don't really think anything is going on between them but I can see why some people might get that impression.

See I still saw that as her trying to cheer him up it looked to me she was trying to get him off balance by pulling him about
I know Aliona is married and I really don't like to get into the Strictly romance thing and I did think ok she is being motherly to Jay but no I can't shake it there was loads of chemistry between them.
If she was not married (which she is), the behaviour we saw could be interpreted as something going on, but in this instance, probably not.
