Jay is quite emotional and perhaps an extremely sweet boy - Aliona was trying to stop him from crying / getting too down. He knew it didn't quite work out and he sad he messed it up for her. That said the dance was incredibly difficult, incredibly fast, and musically very difficult to get into any type of rhythm / beat.

What is all this calling Jay a 'boy' and a young lad about? He's a 25 year old man. No one talks about Georgia (younger than Jay) in these infantilising terms.

You're right Jay would keep quiet about an injury. However, it could be he just has a weak knee, perhaps from a previous injury, and wraps it in rehearsal to give it extra support to see it through the hour after hour, day after day training. Better to do some prevention than wait for something bad to happen. At least I hope that's the explanation.

Don't know if their a couple or not, but I love watching them dance.

I can't ever recall other grown men being referred to as boys so much . I wonder if it grinds his gears , being 25 and being called a boy over and over as if he were 14 yrs old .

Jay doesn't seem to be particularly articulate or mentally sharp. He also seems rather shy, quiet, not especially confident. In many ways he does seem like an oversized boy.

On the plus side he seems highly determined and prepared to put in the hard work.

Just before Claudia gives the judges' marks table Jay and Aliona side by side. Then their marks are near bottom and Jay clutches the back of the seat in front of him. Aliona then puts her arms round him - for comfort it seemed to me.

No they're not Aliona is married they are just great friends.

There is always rumours every year about one of the couple's dating but I don't get that from Aliona and Jay I hope that these rumours don't jeopardize what is a great partnership.
