The Osbournes was a popular MTV show and Kelly did DWTS,
however the difference between that family and these Geordie no-talent numpties - is that the Osbournes are a media savvy "showbiz family" who (apart from Ozzy) can be trusted to appear on a live TV show.

I think it's difficult to compare DWTS to Strictly in that respect though. In the states, people are seemingly quite welcoming to "celebs" who have found fame through unconventional forms (social media, heroic acts etc) and also seem to be less bothered about ringers (Nicole Scherzinger, Mya, Charlie White & Meryl Davis spring to mind).

I can't imagine these types of celebs would get the same reception from the UK public.

Strictly are currently so desperate for celebs I don't think that they would rule anyone out at the moment.
Strictly has a huge list of people wanting to do the show, they really can pick and choose.

Exactly. That's why they usually have a good mixture of contestants; sportspeople, actors, TV and radio presenters, singers, TV chefs, and DJ's who all have or have had careers.

They've both got big following stats on twitter though, their stats on twitter will shock you Alli F. Their also the most popular cast members as well. Not having them IMHO on SCD is like water not being wet. I do believe there's a calmer side to charlotte, we've just got to see it.
Yes but those who follow her on Twitter probably don't watch Strictly. You keep putting all these names up. Let's get this year over first!

And let us not forget (if you watched a recent Dave Gorman show on Dave) that you can "buy" Twitter followers for very little cash - which is probably what the Managers and publicists of these reality twonks will be doing.

They can then justify getting their clients onto other reality shows based on the number of Twitter followers they have - which they paid for anyway.

It is a kind of perpetual motion

It's bad enough that the likes of Mark Wright and Peter Andre have somehow managed to penetrate the Strictly gates.

Wanting to take the show even further down into the detritus that Geordie Shore has spat out is truly depressing,

Someone was suggesting on the geordie shore thread on this site that before gaz does SCD, he would have to do CBB first.

Seen something on tellymix.co.uk in regards to a possibility of charlotte letitia crosby from geordie shore to be on SCD in the future and yes she is interested in doing it, wonder what you guys and girls think about it possibly happening? If so I'd love Gary "gaz" beadle to take part in as well. These two make the show of geordie shore and I think they could adjust to being more elegant instantly.
You seem to be obsessed with zelebrities who most of us have ever heard of, and would really be quite happy to keep it that way.

Speaking as a self-respecting Geordie (I own a coat and everything)...please, no. Just no.

I would be gobsmacked if Charlotte was allowed within 50 feet of the Strictly studios, let alone be allowed to actually compete on the show. I think Mark Wright is just about the limit as far as reality TV stars competing on the show goes (and he at least could be referred to as a TV and radio presenter)

Joey Essex is another possibility and maybe some stars of MIC as well. Hollie_Louise said to me on the geordie shore thread that ppl are knobs on there and putting then on SCD would be too much of a risk to take.

^^ This.

It's spamming the board as far as I'm concerned.

You are right, he has already had another pointless, and idiotic thread closed by the mods entitled, "Should Jay get a combover?"

They have already begun scraping the barrell with Peter Andre and Mark Wright. I suspect we will have Kerry Katona and Katie Price on first though.

Could be, they are very popular girls in their own right, both with large fan bases.
