She danced half naked in the UK, assuming she dresses not to offend over there why should she be arrested? plenty of brits head to such places and most of us have had a beer or 3 but we won't get arrested for it but people know its the "when in rome rule"...

They couldn't have aired the comment if she didn't make the comment

Why did she say it in the first place if that can get you into trouble in Dubai? All seems a bit silly to me.

Let me get this straight, she makes the comment about how she started out as a podium dancer, BBC air the comment, then the BBC are supposed to police the internet to stop people making comments about her past?

I suppose if the UAE is hardcore then deportation may be an option in that they could see her as a corrupting influence, but jail? The outcry of it would be massive, how can you arrest someone for something they did in another country that wasn't illegal there, and they haven't apparently broken any laws in your country?

Lets get one thing straight - any whiff of criticism of the BBC and the Daily Mail is all over it like a rash, no matter how trivial, silly or tangential

You often can in that part of the world. The UAE doesn't want to scare off British tourists and investors though, so while they might do a lot to destroy her business or deport her, I agree they're unlikely to jail her.

Even the UAE isn't crazy enough to jail a foreigner for something they did in another country. Ridiculous overreaction by the woman.
