Katie having the salsa now will be good for her if she wants to progress, that's three big latins (Jive, Salsa & Cha cha) gone and correct me if I am wrong, Charleston & Rumba are two of his stronger latins (which he did with Laila) which leaves the samba which is Katie's favourite dance
Could be seriously wrong though...

I am probably totally mistaken, but I thought the AT was a latin (because we already have a ballroom tango) and Charleston - despite looking very latin - was a ballroom. IIRC I have seen both danced interchangeably (not sure that's a word!) on Strictly

Interesting week ahead for some .
Ainsley might struggle with the speed of jive , but over all the dance suits his persona and he can be himself a bit . I think Georgia will smash the salsa . Should be just her thing . Jamelia might struggle with the foxtrot . Can't think it will suit her , but you never know . Katie doing salsa . Not sure on that . It might be just that bit too sassy for her, plus latin is not Anton's thing . Hopefully it won't be as awful as his last latin with her .Also , her salsa will inevitably be compared to Georgia's and I expect GG's to be sensational . Peter should be ok with the rumba. It's the kind of thing singers often do with backing dancers in a minor way , so he should make a decent enough attempt at it . Woops , nearly forgot lovely Jeremy . I think he'll do rather well with a waltz . With his height he should look amazing if he gets the basics right . |

I just find G&G forgetful most weeks
their Rumba has been my favourite from them and that's about it. They are a good couple; their consistent. But in terms of popularity and everything put together, I can't see them outstaying those I mentioned. |

I'm expecting Peter to be there until the bitter end. I suspect a spot is ring fenced for him because the producers think THE big name needs to be in the final. Plus they are finding it harder to get male celebs on the show and the only way to do it is to give slots to people who have something to sell like Peter with his tour etc. He needs to be there at the end for the producers to show prospective candidates next year that the show is worth all the slog.

The judges are playing games with us with scores, jamelia, Peter and Helen are being over scored wheras Anita, Georgia and Jay are underscored. You say georgia and giovanni are forgettable when on Saturday they upped their game. I don't buy that their forgettable at all.

I thought Saturday's underscoring was one of the most blatent attempts to play games with the audience and the poor celebs that I can remember. Jay's mark in particular was ridiculous but I had problems with a lot of the marks this week. All it does is make me feel less respect for the judges that they'd play along with the producers plans so ruthlessly.

Ideally I'd like len and Darcey gone, but controller of BBC one charlotte Moore wants them to stay. I wish BBC would stop being so political in their decision making and political in the scripts they give the judges.

Bit confused
What's the choice of judges on Strictly got to do with politics?
Should Len and Darcy be replaced by David, Jeremy or Tim? ![]() Bit confused. |

Thinking again, I think the rumba could be a very good dance for Peter. Janette did a very sweet, non-raunchy choreography for Jake and I think she'll go that way again, and he should find the movement of the dance easier than Jake did. And the judges tend to be on the generous side to him, so far. What's the most a man's ever scored for the rumba?
Jeremy and Georgia could also have a very good week. I know Natalie will do her best but I think jive is a huge struggle for Ainsley - he's not light and sharp and fast and it's very unforgiving. Can't wait to find out what Jay has. |

For the next elimination I've looked at the odds on oddschecker.com and the odds of these people are shortening: ainsley, jamelia, kellie, Helen and jay, wheras the odds of kirsty, georgia and katie of leaving SCD are drifting out.
