Three of the judges have been the same since the beginning, but the producers seem to change every few years. Should think the producer's jobs are more at risk if the ratings fall.

This thread's about the dances they're doing next week.

And speaking of which, Kirsty has the Viennese Waltz (via Twitter).

Thanks.
Any chance of a regular recap of what we know as I'm far too lazy at actually read the thread between all the other irrelevant posts about Not next week's dances?

Jeremy's issue with in hold ballroom is how it shows up the utterly ludicrous height difference between him and Karen. If he actually got his arms in the right position she'd be lifted off the floor!

Can celebs dance to their own songs? I wondered if Peter would be allowed to dance to a song that's also on his new album or not. And I wondered if anyone had ever danced to their own music or that would break the BBC rules for promotions, etc? (Obviously it would be to the band's version of one of their songs, I know they couldn't dance to their own recordings?)

Really!

Spoiler
The comparisons to Harry Judd's stunningly beautiful VW would be too awkward surely? But I suppose the list of quick tempo waltzes from the charts is not an especially long one, so repetitions inevitably happen. Still a hard comparison to put in the viewers' and judges' minds though.

Strictly's always avoided having singers dance to their own music, unlike Dancing With the Stars/Dancing on Ice.

I'm sure they probably can but I'm also sure that most celebs would refuse knowing it would look extremely naff and self indulgent.

We'll find out when you do. Ditto what Georgia's dancing to. Ditto what Georgia's doing next week. Ditto what Georgia's PIN number is.

(I would guess something Latin)

If the producers are feeling really mean it'll be the rumba!

I'm not sure where I read this so don't quote me on it, but I think it was once said that the producers had a rule against contestants dancing to their own songs?

I think Tom from McFly mentioned on ITT once that Harry hadn't been allowed to dance to a McFly song.
