WillPeter make the finals??

He's a good dancer, but when the series starts getting serious will he fall at the last hurdle??

I can see him going out at the semi's or even quarter finals.

It's pretty much guarenteed Jay will be in the finals (barring injury) but who will join him?? And will Peter be one of them?

It's really hard to call.

For me the Tango was his best dance but that still leaves him at the bottom of the good pile.

Unless he significantly progresses I can't see him beating Jay, Georgia, Helen, Anita, Kellie but with a dance off I can imagine the judges choosing him over anyone bar Jay tbh.

He'll probably get in as the second best male. Some of the better women might get lost in the crowd (six of seven best judges marks tonight),

I assume the powers that be are keen for a couple of men in the final, so that is likely to mean Andre. I suspect he has decent public support in any event.

Can't see him beating either Kellie or Helen in a dance-off, unless they have a really dodgy dance (for instance an AT or rumba). He will need the audience vote to keep him in probably, as I do believe that he will not top the judges vote again (the lead will probably change each week) and in a week without ties a 4th or 5th place is tricky.

For me, only Jay is certain for the final. Katie still has the latin handicap going on, her latin is probably the weakest amongst the female contenders, if that does not approve in the coming weeks then I can see her vote going down (and she could be into the dance-off with a dodgy latin dance; and she would lose to practically anybody).

I hope not he doesn't get my vote and the are much better dancers who deserve the final spot more than him.

I think it'll be Jay, Helen, Peter and Kellie.

Think that this combination is probably the unlikeliest, as at least one of Katie/Anita will get there.

Not if Anita continues to get undermarked/suddenly gets a more popular or established pro/Katie gets a new partner for the Latin dances. Jay's almost certain for the final, Peter will continue to get great marks (whether he deserves them or not...), Helen will be pushed as the top female and the Kevin vote has never failed someone of Kellie's ability before.

But we will see how it will play out. Interesting to note that if Peter and Georgia fail to make the final, then Jay is quite probably up against all BBC employees (already looking forward to his fans screaming about BBC rigging come the final ).

I don''t think so. Another year perhaps but there are a lot of very good dancers this year, and unlike Peter they are all getting better. And as we saw with Jake last year, Jeanette is not actually a very good teacher.

Jay, Georgia, Kelly, Helen and Anita are all stunning and versatile. Katie is mighty in ballroom but her (and Anton's) Latin may let her down. But that's six others I rate as better than Peter, or certainly will be by semi-final time.

Hope not. It really annoys me the way he demonstrates his sense of self at the end of the dance and doesn't help Jeanette up (if she's on floor), he's more interested in crowd reaction than assisting his partner.

Peter is working too hard at being perfect IMO, there's something about his dances that make them instantly forgettable. I think we do like to see a bit of a journey, there's none here, which makes him rather boring. I prefer to watch Jeremy.

Popularity and dance wise I think he will be knocked out before or at the quarter final stage

then Peter & Janette

So I put Peter & Janette in 7th place at the moment. Personally I think he is as good as Kelly but Kevin is more popular than Janette.

This year is extremely tough because there are so many good dance pairings. Anton could mess it up for Katie in the Latin. Jay may have another disaster (over complex, over fast routine).

Kate's Latin dances are most probably weak because Anton is not a great Latin dancer himself.In past training sessions,have celebrities and dance partners been allowed "a little help from my friends" of any kind please?

I am really enjoying Jeremy. Darcy was dead right when she said he makes every dance his own. He does. But I wouldn't bet your shirt on him getting to the final.

I disagree that anything is guaranteed. Pixie was favourite to win it last year, but she went out before the finals.

I hope Peter doesn't get to the finals, in fact I'd love him to go in the next few weeks. He's not that great a dancer. A show man yes, but lacking in technique. Which the judges seem to gloss over by not mentioning it, or at least only very briefly.
