I have clicked 3 of the 4 you have posted and none of them were suitable for salsa. All too slow to be really good salsa tunes. (even leaving aside the lack of Latin American flavour)Melody doesn't feel like the right word for this track but what you have is quite a slow rhythm overlaid with a lot of busy top lay so it gives the impression of being quick when actually it really isn't and not fast enough for good salsa. You need to listen down through the layers and find the basic drum (usually) beat. If you compare to the list I posted there is one in there that is the opposite. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUhKDHCYS98. Ignore the intro and wait for the percussion to start. It's quick. It is a salsa romantica number and on first hearing it sounds slow because it has a slow romantic melody. But get under that and it has quite a fast beat. Its like a pulse in the music and tha'ts the bit you pick out to dance salsa to. |

You might find these interesting
Pity about the electronic voice over on this one. But it does make it quite clear what is going on in salsa music and why it is so different to American or European pop and rock music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5FOwr-jDwQ Or try getting up and following along with this with your feet. I have a hunch this might appeal to you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mrq57zI4-Y Somewhere there are resources by an aquaintence of mine called Alex Wilson. I find it hard to believe it hasn't made its way onto You tube. If I find it I will post it. |

(Don't fear) the reaper....Halloween special
Viennese waltz or rumba if using slow version from scream but would prefer blue oyster cult rendition with appropriate grim reaper garb, taking of hand and spins in chorus People are strange the doors...Halloween special not sure which dance though Black cat Janet Jackson...Halloween special I follow rivers...trigger finger...rumba I see fire...film week...hobbity rumba Make a man out of you....Disney week Lilo and stitch burning love...Disney week BALADA BOA. Salsa or samba or even rumba if slowed down acoustic Why can Dave Arch not see my genius?! |

Fortunately I bought it in a second hand shop because that track was the only one on the CD I liked. It went back to a second hand shop.
