Think that they are also starting to repeat them a bit, can remember the Helen & Aljaz one being used in the past for a male celeb (with the same lift pun).

VTs irritate me no end, but suspect they are for the younger end of the 'family' audience - seem to be mostly designed by and for 10 year olds.
(After saying that laughed out loud at Katie's daughter with Anton) |

Yesterdays was the worst. They all followed the exact same format.
Pro: I've (or production team) got an idea lets go off somewhere and do something with an extremely vague relation to our dance. *goes off and does stupid thing* Celeb: I hope that stupid thing we did will somehow help me with the dance this week. (sometimes with added pun) I'd just like to see them reacting to last weeks dance. Talking about the dance they're doing this week. See what they've been struggling with or doing well with. I don't even mind if they dance for an old school or a family member just the scripted stuff is so bad and unfunny. We never get to see what hurdles they've had in the week any more. |

(After saying that laughed out loud at Katie's daughter with Anton) Have been watching a couple of eps of Dancing with the Stars never watched before but it did remind me how much I preferred watching them in rehearsals, you also seem to get to know the celebs and dancers better. Like the judges too must be the absence of Len and Darcy. Cant stand the silly VT's |

They are awful, when did the producers forget that we liked watching the training and thought vts better catered to young kids would suit us more.

This is just my opinion but I think the BBC were desperate to beat X Factor in the ratings and they have achieved that for the past few years. Unfortunately they obviously think this is as a result of changes they've made. like the "comedy" vt's and producers picking the music, rather than the fact that the public are getting sick of X Factor. SCD hasn't necessarily got better but X Factor has definitely got worse.
As ITT has the trying and VTs are required for set and prop changes and floors to be cleaned for streamers and glitter and confetti then the VTs need to be there and they can show training. |

Trouble is BBC get zero complaints on their desk in regards to the VTs. The people who run SCD are entrepreneurs who's aim is to bring in ratings, they don't have a clue what we want to see really.

The young popstars and young soap actors can be used alone to try and bring in the young kids, so that they don't need to treat some of its older audience members as kids by using childish vts which are just seconds long in viewing during the entire show. Lots of people liked the drama of the training vts (seeing people not getting on) so this to me is more ratings grabbing than badly acted storylines (that are equally bad and unrelated to anything). |
