Yes, I've noticed that as well and tend to read with a raised eyebrow most the time waiting for the shift
It's certainly getting tedious

It's all conspiracy theories really and hyped up shit too.
Yes

The Sun, had a couple of lines on it, NO evidence, nothing to support it, pure gossip.

Papers want to sell as many copies as possible, so if they haven't got bad news, they make it all up. A few actually believe it.

I can't say i've warmed to her. I haven't read anything, but there's something a bit icy and vacant about her.

I feel the same! I said in my previous post I didn't like her comments about Anton. Just something about her!

I haven't read anything in the papers but there is something about her I don't like!

It probably goes back to the show when they got to find out who their partners were, and when she found out hers she said "oh I am really pleased I thought I would get Anton"!!!!

I just thought that was really rude and disrespectful.
I agree with this, regardless of what the red tops are saying, I just haven't warmed to Helen. I've never watched CTM so had no idea who she was, but I didn't like the way she she mentioned Anton in a negative way.

It was probably an unwise thing to say, but I doubt whether she was being deliberately disrespectful. Until this year, Anton has usually found himself being paired with a no-hoper, so her words could equally be construed as a comment on what she thought of her own chances. I think it was probably just an ill-judged attempt at humour. Remember Anton's own comment last night on finding himself and Katy at the top of the leaderboard. "So this is what it feels like." Shows how often he has been there.

You see rudeness and disrepect - I just see self-deprecating humour. Anton has a longstanding habit of getting the shall-we-say not-so-good dancers, so what she was joking was that she was bad enough the producers might have thought she'd be hat category too.

True it could be seen that way, however for me it was how and the way she said it. Even when she is talking to the judges IMO it's just false.

Sounds like the usual media muck stirring, and probably has no basis in reality.

I took that to mean that she wondered if she would be classed as one of Anton's stereotypical dance partners - the Anne Widdecombe/Nancy Dell'olio/Judy Murray scenario.

As this seems to be a recurring theme in Strictly, I don't think it was intended to be personally disrespectful to HIM at all.

Maybe she is topping the votes?

I wouldn't be surprised if the bosses are putting these stories out there...

I am so pleased there are no joke dancers. Even Anthony and Ewan were not as bad as the ones mentioned. Jeremy and Daniel are OK too IMO and don't mind watching them. I used hate watching Anne Widdecome, Nancy and Jerry Hall. Didn't mind Judy so much as I think she did try her best.

Yeah I agree. The press have a great history of only providing the facts and not embellishing the smallest of truths.... Or not, as the many high court cases and apologies prove. If that's your only source, then I'd take it with a mountain of salt!!!
Yes, if someone has something to say, they should have the courage to put their name to the accusations. It's a non-story, they could say anything about anybody and just quote an unnamed "source".

I agree.

Iwan was just generally bad - as in lacking in dance content. Anthony was not bad for only having the use of one arm. It would have been interesting to see how well he may have performed with two functioning arms. I think he would have stayed in for longer.

Jeremy is far better than I had anticipated. He does struggle a bit with some of the Latin stuff though. His legs are incredibly long and it must be very difficult for him to be able to manage some of the moves in some dances as a result.

On balance, this years crop are reasonably good.

Strictly sells newspapers (just look at the front page of The Sunday Mirror today) and as there's nothing to be said about Helen (they've already mentioned her split from her hubby), it seems only natural to pin something like this on her as she's a) not always in the papers talking about herself (Peter Andre) and b) well spoken and posh which the public and the tabloids hate. Aljaz and Janette are also madly in love with one another so they cannot manufacture the tiresome showmance rumours either.

Reading a tacky, downmarket tabloid rag like the Mirror and The Sun could just about be forgiven if you regard them as an amusement only, and then line the cat litter tray with them or wrap chips in them

Actually believing the crap they print marks you out as being something else entirely.

No one at all Daisy, but some people use the whole bitchfest thing as a form of therapy for themselves and their issues.

I always suggest a good bracing walk in the fresh air - getting out more is so good for one - but then who am I to have an opinion?

It was claimed by the Mirror, by no known sources. She tweeted saying it was a load of rubbish so who knows.
Probably the worst of the tabloids, make the Sun and Mail look like serious newspapers!

I don't believe the bs people put in papers. Helen is a lovely person and not the type of girl I'd associate with being a b***h. She's says it's not true and she gets on with the other celebs and pros. It's upsets me when people say nasty things about one of my favourite celebrities. At least she's not like Caroline Flack last year she completely got on my nerves
I can't remember the title but many years ago I read a book by a tabloid journalist, really opened my eyes to the tricks they get up to. One I remember was all the tabloids 'doorstepping' someone, he remained inside his house so after a time they all went down to the pub and cobbled together a story of something he was supposed to have said. 'It was in all the papers so must be true'.

The other that sticks in the mind was a tip off that Prince Charles was meeting someone and spending the night with her on board the Royal Train parked up somewhere remote (before his marriage). They arranged for someone to crawl under the train, not quite sure what they were looking for but got a pretty good idea and not sure what they would have done if they found any used ones!
