How disappointing.

Omg, have you had a sense of humour bypass, if you couldn't tell that was a joke, it says it all .

I'm not someone masquerading as someone else, I just had a speculative opinion which you clearly all disagree on which is fine, no need to be abusive.

It has indeed - so here are statistics that might interest you:
Frankie and Kevin also scored a 10 – week 3 series 12.
Louisa and Vincent a 10 for their Jive; week 3 - series 4

Some managed 9's even earlier than week 3.
Colin and Erin 4x9’s week 2; Quickstep - series 3
Ricky and Natalie managed a 9 in week 1 of series 7 and followed that with three 9's for their paso!!! same series - week 3. Ricky was an ex footballer who was forced to retire from 'the beautiful game' after breaking a leg - no previous experience; hardly a ringer. They followed this up with three 9's for their paso in week 3. If ever anyone was robbed!

I could go on and on with early high scores:
Alesha and Matthew
Austin and Erin
Matt and Flavia
Cherie and James
Kara and Artem
Sophie and Brendan collected 4x9 for their week 2 Jive. Series 11.

I could go on but I'm sure you get my drift - all these couples scored highly up to and including week 3.

Now can we can give it a rest and simply acknowledge that Jay has a natural flair for dance. Is hethe best ever celeb on SCD - too early to determine - why not simply enjoy a very special talent.”

Ok, thank you for clarifying the 10s, that makes more sense then, a simple answer to my question then. Not interested in 9s but 10s .

They have always had stage school trained dancers on strictly but Jay is more trained than that and they generally don't win and its a bit embarrassing for the BBC now and they dont want to spoil this year's show if someone is getting 10s in week 3. Last night made it look like last week was fluke and he isn't that perfect. Someone that had that much technique last week and can do turns as perfectly as Jay would not make that many mistakes and lose his balance as much. I'm sorry, I don't buy it. One over balance maybe, two I don't believe. He doesn't have a day job and has plenty of time and the technique and experience not to make that many mistakes in week 4. Anyone else agree?”

No but then I am not a conspiracy theorist.

My sense of humour is intact, thank you - it's very probably not the same as yours, so your joke must have lost something in translation

It's very often the case that "tone" tends to be misconstrued without the help of such emoticons as and - where would we be without them?

(incidentally, just as an aside: when you ask a question, you usually put a question mark at the end of the sentence, otherwise people might not realise it is a question )

You can all blame me. Last week when it was claimed he'd smash it every week I said he was bound to have an off night, and blow me he didn't wait around did he?

Jay is carrying an injury on his knee and he has bad blisters too on his feet. If jay clinches SCD this year the production team have won as well as ppl who follow him on social media. Trouble is he came across well when they had their group number at the beginning of the series and decided to support him.

BIB/Underlined : I do believe that was the 'Donny' Ten so it doesn't count.

Not sure if I am reading this right? Are you saying that the production team have all bet on Jay to win the competition? I don't know but I wouldn't have thought that would be allowed as they have inside knowledge.

What are you talking about? He looked like a plank during the group number.

Where do you get the idea that social media is answer to everything? I use Twitter extensively but don't follow any Strictly bods except Monkseal.

I like Jay because I like Jay, has nothing to do with social media and, of all reality shows, I think Strictly is the one least affected by it. A lot of the demographic for Strictly would not use social media and a vast amount of the people using social media wouldn't watch Strictly.

No I don't think the mistakes were deliberate

However I did think the judges scores were rather harsh as the QS in between the slips was rather good

Hey folks, we've found the DS handle of Louise Rainbow and she's secretly let slip her plan to manipulate last night!

So what's the plan for next week? Someone's going to do better than they did this week, someone's going to do worse, there'll be a few dodgy song choices and outfits, I can hardly guess!? Tell us all!

Why would the PTB care at the beginning of the series who gets in the final?

It's not X-Factor, there's no record contracts or top 10 hits to be made.

The Live Tour isn't run by the BBC and isn't very important to them.

All the PTB care about is the ratings and keeping the Saturday night family audience.

They wouldn't risk upsetting that audience by manipulation on that scale - what's the point?

I was actually being sarcastic...Jay is my favourite.

Trouble is the PTB focus their attention on stuff that is short term gains rather than sensible long term plans. The PTB can be unethical at the best of times.

Shush, it's far too logical to suggest that someone could have an off week and it not be a conspiracy by a) celeb b) production, c) pro or d) both!

Everything on television is to some extent planned. It is not surprising that some will think the planning is more thorough than what it really is.

Really? This is still rumblibg on?

Sigh.

Get a sense of perspective.

It's a Saturday evening light entertainment show. Nobody at the BBC cares who wins. It's only a crappy glitterball, not some fortune or road to success within the BBC itself.

People are reading way, way, way too much into this. It's actually kinda scary.

I agree that Jay was under-scored. Maybe he was marked against preconception/expectation rather than on the actuality.

No. Not deliberate at all. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but in my opinion, that's a really cynical suggestion to make. Jay had put pressure on himself after last week and it went wrong. It happens and he seemed quite upset over it. Who in their right mind would mess up on purpose all as part of some master plan.

I knew someone would start a thread about this.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it took real skill for Les Dawson to do that piano playing with the off key notes. Likewise, I wonder if it takes real skill for a fantastic dancer to look like they're doing a duff dance? Oh hang on, THAT'S IT! Jay's training which started at the age of three months (before he could even walk don't you know) meant that he's skilled enough to pull off a pretend duff dance!
