No way were Jay and Aliona the best dancers last night. His dance was an absolute dogs dinner (Jay himself would even admit that). People are simply voting for their favourite regardless of whether they produced a good dance or not. Katie and Anton are my favourites but I didn't vote for their cha cha as my favourite dance last week because it was pretty dire!
This series will soon become (as I feared) a one horse race to the finish with absolutely no competition for Jay and Aliona regardless of how they or any other couple dance. Was the same with both Louis Smith and Harry Judd. |

Shockingly, Jamelia and Tristan. I really enjoyed everything about it despite not really liking her.
Mentions to Georgia & Giovanni, Katie & Anton, Ainsley & Natalie and Jeremy & Karen though - I enjoyed their performances as well. |

Was the same with both Louis Smith and Harry Judd. My favourites were Georgia and Giovanni, Not just because of the terrific choreography that was executed so well, but also for Giovanni's attitude which proved that (unlike a lot on the forums) he didn't bear Len any grudges for his ticking off last week, and actually took note of what Len said. But I also love Jeremy and Karen. He's well away from the 'best dancer' category, but there is just something very likeable about him. |

Katie or Georgia, it was a close call for me. But I've gone for Kate, it was a great come back after last week's fiasco.

None of them really WOWED me last night, but Kellie and Kevin did an enjoyable routine. They need to do something remarkable soon though... so far we've had a twee tango, a twee cha cha, a twee charleston and a twee foxtrot. Yeah I've enjoyed them all but there hasn't been a lot of passion yet.
even their charleston was technically set in the past (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away!) |

Anita and Gleb. I think she was undermarked. Also really loved Jamelia and Tristan's dance.

Georgia and Giovanni this week for me.
I can't believe that Jay and Aliona are topping the poll after screwing it up so badly. |

I can understand why Jay is topping, since it's a favourite couple poll. I think it would be wrong for him to top a "best dance" poll this week. Those mistakes...

Katie and Anton, I was cheering them on for the mammoth spin session near the end.
Notable mentions to Jamelia and Anita (undermarked IMO). |

I don't follow him on Twitter, 😄 still the best for me 😀
Don't think his dance was the dogs dinners 😕 And he was under marked, it was way better than the score he got 😀 was great also and great to see the big improvement in her performance and confidence and her enthusiastic reaction to her scores.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I thought Katie and Jamelia stood out, but also for me Georgia did too. She seems under the radar most weeks, but I think she quietly does well alongside others that do well but get more openly praised.
Despite the mistakes Jay was still good (which speaks to his quality I suppose) and, Peter and Helen were ok too, but I think Katie and Jamelia are the most obvious good ones ones (or be it also blatantly improved ones from previous week). |

The production staff want jay to win, it's literally palpable. They don't give a shit about dancing, it's all about ratings and BBC are a business, not a charity. To be fair SCD has had better days really as has TXF. For SCD to get good again the BBC need to change the format and have a male and female presenter. Having tess and Claudia doesn't work, even claudia gushes over jay and it's embarrassing to watch. 😲

Katie & Anton were my outright favourites. I also thought Georgia & Giovanni and Jamelia & Tristan had a great night.

Katie and Anton definitely deserved to be top of the leaderboard (easily the best ballroom routine of the night) but my personal favourite was Jamelia's Charleston!

I thought Katie and Anton were lucky to be top of the leaderboard. Much as I like them, the skippiness of the actual Viennese waltz content merited a lower score. |

I would have to take issue with that. Georgia and Giovanni's quickstep was easily the best ballroom routine of the night.

Katie & Anton this week followed by Jamelia & Tristan and Anita & Gleb. Quote:
PS. I don't usually question poll results, but seriously Jay and Aliona? Last week yes. This week no.

At this stage in the competition I don't have an overall favourite. That tends to come later. For now my favourite changes from week to week. This week it was Katie and Anton. Such a beautiful dance. Very classy.

Bump up
![]() Declared K&A fan...but...did genuinely enjoy most dances this week, esp Jamelia's Charleston, Ainsley's waltz, Kellie's foxtrot, Georgia's QS and Andre's tango. And Anita, Jay as good as expected. Helen's salsa...ummm...(but she's safe for a while) Kirsty and Carol need to go head-to-head... |
