Imo everyone from Mark, Anne and Paul can beat anyone in a good day and lose in a bad day. Jenny is an okay chaser.
Shaun can lose to anyone, even if he has a good day. Shaun and Anne sometimes think their answers too much and waste time, while Mark and Paul usually think less and give rapid answers to save time. |

There's £23k up for grabs on Eggheads so I'm switching to BBC2.

Shaun can lose to anyone, even if he has a good day. Shaun and Anne sometimes think their answers too much and waste time, while Mark and Paul usually think less and give rapid answers to save time. When Shaun's on a good day, he more than matches up to the other Chasers. If anything he's guilty of taking it too easy when he's up against a low target (he admitted this himself on his Twitter) leading to needlessly dramatic final chases on targets of 14 or less. Paul, as good as he is, dawdles far too much on questions at times, he used to be the fastest, but he often has the tendency like Shaun to pause for far too long, which sometimes becomes his undoing. Mark is definitely the fastest though, without a shadow of a doubt. But Jenny better than Shaun? No. She's barely proven herself to be on HIS league yet, let alone the others. Don't get me wrong, she is a very good quizzer, better than the average - but she doesn't have the same level of knowledge of the others. All the Chasers have good days, and all have bad days. They're human after all. But Anne is by far the best at the moment, she's a powerhouse. |

She was an "IT Team Leader" no less...no one I know in IT would crow about being a Team Leader, which is basically getting some mug to manage some staff for no more money.
Mind you I never saw it yesterday so I've no idea what the other job titles were. All this makes me wonder...why are there never any unemployed people on the show? I've never once heard anybody say, "My name's Dave, I'm 36, and I'm unemployed." Even regular low wage job types like supermarket shelf stacker or barman and the like seem pretty thin on the ground. I mean there's an awful lot of these people about. I should know, I'm one of them, Do these sort of people never apply to go on The Chase? There's nearly always a young student type on the show. What do all these people do when they graduate? Do they all automatically walk into high flying jobs? Any possible answers to these questions are welcome.

At least none of the Chasers are as bad as "Tremendous knowledge Dave" on that other show who 9 times out of 10 you'll see peering out from the big screen behind the other Eggheads in the final round because he's been eliminated.
Convinced his moniker is an in-joke. |

Convinced his moniker is an in-joke. In my opinion new Chaser, Jenny, won't last long. She isn't good enough. |

Naomi is not very poor at general knowledge!
I doubt she would have been much help in Final Chase but at least it would have been an extra step. |

The Chase
Why do people say "educated guess" when they haven't got a clue? What's educated about that?? Surely "ignorant guess" would be more accurate. And I'm sick of this woman saying "I don't know this."

She's out.
So, Pindy's chances? Unaffected - but a bigger potential prize. |

This should be pretty good now.
Pindy has good general knowledge and he won't have to wait for others to answer, nor for his name to be called. Oh dear. Not as good as I thought. |

After a shaky start, Shaun did very well. Some on here seek every opportunity to criticise him. Don't forget that he knocked out three contestants. Mind you, anybody who thinks that percussion has the most members of an orchestra shouldn't be on the show!

Remember, he won Brain of Britain, which is impressive. Have you ever heard it? |

![]() I thought the orchestra question was pretty obvious as well, sometimes the most likely answer really is the right one. |

Do they give you a general knowledge test when applying to go on this show I wonder?, some of these people don't seem to have any at all!!!..... I know some of the questions are so off the scale that they cant be answered without specific knowledge of the subject but really!....... Anyone with just a bit of general knowledge should be able to answer a lot of those questions!.....

She really shouldn't have got the orchestra question wrong. If she'd taken a moment to think about it she'd surely have got it right, rather than just guessing.
Just picture an orchestra in your head, it's all the violins and cellos at the front. There's a lot. A full orchestra can have over thirty in the strings section. The percussion? Somebody on the drums, couple on the timpani, cymbals, maybe a xylophone and glockenspiel. Probably half a dozen people at the most. There's just no way it could be even close to the number in the string section. |

I used to know the difference between a xylophone and a glockenspiel but now I can't marimba.
