Fair play to Mick though, he did get a couple of push backs.
He was actually extremely poor. An awful cash builder but got very lucky in the head to head with plenty of correct guesses and the remaining questions being very easy (judges' chambers, Peter Pan), and a disappointing final chase.

It's funny, but I can't remember anyone from the armed forces, regardless of rank, being much good. You would have thought a Lieutenant Commander would have done much better.

Horrific US geography knowledge there from Shaun, I wouldn't have put that down as one of his weak subjects.

He was a bit lucky.

Jo's a big asset: fast, knowledgable (and personable)

I've not seen this before and it's not marked as a repeat in Digiguide (though that's not always accurate).

Where were Azhar and Stan? I'd be livid if I was one of the other two.

Well done Jo and Angie, didn't give the 2 guys a chance, they were so quick, good total to put pressure on Shaun.

I feel so angry for Jo and Angie. They'd have almost been better on their own than with the other two pretenders.

Bizarrely paced performance from Shaun and yet still a comfortable win on a higher-than-average total!

Well played by him and both the girls!

There were 4 but the question was 'how many Americans were in The Monkees?'

Davy Jones was English.

Are we having a separate thread for this or are we commenting here?

At least, unlike the American version, they seem to be sticking with the same set and format as the UK version. If it aint broke, don't try to fix it.

It's interesting how much closer this is to the UK version than the American one - back to four players, the Chaser coming back on for each round etc.

Nice to see Anne, she seems very much at ease. Am looking forward to seeing the three guys though - the Geek in particular looks amusing (or is it the Nerd, can't remember)

Well The Chase Australia was thoroughly enjoyable. Glad Anne won for us Brits!

The contestants were nice, normal people unlike the loud Americans. The host though. What a smarmy, annoying man. Reminded me of Bob Monkhouse.

Well, he's certainly no Bradley but it's only the first episode. I was getting shades of Monkhouse too, off him. Bit too slick. There were a few moments, where he reminded me of Saul Goodman.

Bob Monkhouse was neither smarmy nor annoying.

Ah, thanks, I missed that bit of the question, wasn't paying attention.

Shaun is definitely improving. I think that's seven on the bounce now.
