They're probably just about good enough with their head start if they work together well and if Mark makes a mistake or two.

Good score but not to be unfortunately! Well played by the Beast.

On today's show she dismissed four contestants and came very close to winning the final chase. Give the poor girl a chance!”

Well said, sir. Folk are very quick to criticise. I believe Anne recommended her as the new Chaser as they both play in the same quiz team in the Manchester area.

That Sister Act question was sneaky. It all depended on whether he heard, "Which film sequel" or "Which film's sequel".

How embarrassing. The chocolate, is obviously the skin and it's covered by a plastic wrapper.

Me too I think it was because of having biscuits on the brain with the question just before being "What food is biccie short for?" It looked to me like Mark almost said chocolate, too!

I don't think there's anything suspect when they lose. Sometimes, they just, well, lose.

Jenny is certainly losing far more often than the others at the moment. But I doubt very much if this is deliberate.”

She threw a few answers in an attempt to make it a nail-biting finish but it didn't quite work out like that. Chasers often throw answers in an attempt to make it a close finish, its really obvious to a seasoned quizzer.

Is this your opinion, or do you know it as fact?

She might have had broad knowledge but no knowledge of the broad.

I havent bothered to watch it again but to me Ann's answer for the "Dutch dart player" question, sounded suspiciously like Barnevald as opposed to the correct answer of Van Barnevald. Bradley has disallowed answers for less!

Tricky one. If the question had been, Who painted Starry Night?, and she'd said, "Gogh", I can't imagine Bradley giving her the point. But if the question had been, Who composed the Pastoral Symphony?, he wouldn't disallow Beethoven.

There was another question on today's show along the lines of "Which Singer Had A Plane Called Hound Dog?" (or words to that effect). The contestant said "Elvis" and Bradley accepted it. I was expecting Bradley to say Elvis....... promoting the contestant for a last name or for him to say "more" or "I need a last name".

After all there is/was more than one singer called Elvis.

Only one though commonly known as Elvis only.

Is it really obvious? Maybe to you it is.

What about the times they hoover up a small target with nearly a minute to spare? Why don't they "throw a few answers" in those ones?

The same "seasoned quizzer" who attempted to predict who would win and got it wrong 2 out out of 3 times.
The same "high level quizzer" who claimed that only "high level quizzers" could predict who will win. LOL!

It's really educational to watch 'The Chase' on the Challenge channel. Freeview 46, Freesat 145, and Sky on 145.

I'm going to have to watch again, but there was another answer yesterday that was strangely similar to one that was disallowed recently...

What colour was the Haze in a Jimi Hendrix song ?

Purple Haze.

Now, I'm not saying I would have disallowed it, but I'm sure they've been picky about stuff like that before.

It's Paul today.

He tweeted earlier the answers to the 3 questions he gets asked most.
1. It belongs to ITV, currently at the drycleaners
2. No, never
3. Trevor Brooking

Nonsense. There was only ever ONE Elvis.

Surely "educated guess" applies when you had an idea but weren't sure and it turned out to be right ...?
