... Well Jake didn't know much.
At times like these, I take comfort from the knowledge that youth isn't always an advantage in life.

I'm a bit disappointed that Adele took the lower offer.

One really good player and Adele is pretty decent too so they must be in with a good chance of winning today.

I'm assuming they have a decent chance. If the others had got through, their only likely contribution now would have been the extra steps, but at the cost of their share of the prize fund.
As it is, I prefer it with just the two decent players and no hangers-on. |

That was quite close. If they had got all 6 push backs I think they would have won.

Looks like I was wrong - a silent extra person would have been cost-effective!

If the wrong person hadn't given the answer twice they'd have done it.

I watched the Australian version last night on Challenge, Anne is one of their Chasers but last night it was an Australian guy with the nickname The Shark.

Surely "educated guess" applies when you had an idea but weren't sure and it turned out to be right ...?

Missed last night's one. Hope they show it again sometime. The presenter is a bit smarmy but at least he's a clear speaker. I can understand everything he says, when he's talking fast. You can't always say that about Bradley.
It's funny that, I understand Bradley when he is asking the questions at fast pace, but I suppose it could be the way he pronounces some words. |

I watched my first Australian Chase last night, the chaser was 'supernerd' who seemed to have quite good knowledge. I liked the fact the contestant didn't turn around to discuss the amounts offered with the team, like they do in the UK version and just said which offer they wanted.
I guess this is because Australian TV seems to have a lot of adverts, even compared to the UK so they cut out as much filler as possible, even the host (who I liked) didn't ask them about their personal lives as much as Bradley does. |

I like the Australian version of The Chase more than the US version, as the format is more similar to the UK version, from the music to the number of contestants. I'm not that overly keen on the host but at least he doesn't have that constant cheesy grin like the host on the US version.

Not sure about the amount of time asking about their personal lives but he certainly asked what they would do with the money. One of them wanted to travel to Antartica. $25000 for that trip
