On later shows the contestants sometimes do discuss the offers with their teammates prior to making their decision. I think this may be done anyway and edited out.
Another subtle difference with the Australian show is that the contestants don't give their ages in their introduction at the start.
Crikey he is rubbish, why do people who have no general knowledge whatsoever go on a general knowledge game show? Yay he got one!
