Yes he won easily, with a score of 11 to catch he caught the Final 2 players with 1 minute 11 seconds to spare.
This is the type of game, I mentioned the other day. None of your dithering and suspiciously wrong easy answers, to drag it all out. Am I imagining it or is the quality of contestant, getting worse?

No knowledge. No strategy either in not going for the lowest offer.

Not sure what the offers were all about though, no strategy from Shaun either.

She's actually doing really well in this head to head, if he had offered her more than £1000 I reckon she might have taken the higher offer and been with a good chance of taking back big money.

Well, at least I learned something today.
Apparently, Potassium is a soft, silvery-white metal.
I looked it up because I didn't believe Brad's answer.

Surely the clue to the answer was "potash"? Don't know where they got platinum from.

I think potassium is like sodium and has to be stored in oil as it spontaneously bursts into flames in the atmosphere.

Why should he? £0 in the cash builder, is absolutely pathetic. Good on ya, Shaun.

Usually with a £0 cash-builder, the Chaser would offer a reasonable higher offer (at least 10K I would think) to get the player a chance to redeem themselves. Don't forget, going for the higher offer increases the player's chance of being caught.

Bit mean of Shaun (or the producer, more like).

Does anybody know roughly the percentage wins by the contestants this series or overall? Is it EXACTLY 20% because we seem to get exactly one team win EVERY week.

I thought previous stats posted in this thread indicated team wins in about a third of the shows but that would mean roughly seeing two wins in a week in two weeks out of three.

Even a 25% win rate means a two-win-week one week in every four and I'm not seeing that. I can only remember a two-win-week once all year.

These are my stats for series 9. 166 shows. 125wins (Chasers) 41 losses. Mark 28/9 Anne 30/7 Shaun 29/10 Paul 29/8 Jenny 9/7.

Now, you see, that is pretty much a 25% success rate for the teams which would mean we should get a two-win-week once every four weeks and I'm not seeing that. Unless I'm being dumb.

And thanks for the stats.

To entice the player to go for the higher offer, obviously.

The host of the Aussie show is so fake. He's as camp as Christmas. The grey haired chaser wearing specs is as dull as ditch water.

But did you know that it was classed as a metal? I didn't.

Been watching that and can't say I enjoy it quite as much.

She got lucky with the questions - and the guesses. The 0 was the wrong choice, given the score and the options £-1,000 made by far the most sense as she was risking getting back for £500 extra - it worked out because of the easy questions and guesses but that doesn't make it a good choice.

Yes if the offer had been more than the paltry £1,000 then that may well have been a good choice but it wasn't. I doubt very much the Chasers decide the amounts on offer so it would have been the producer.

Yes I did. But I'm not bragging about it

I remember in my science class at school (many, many years ago!) I saw sodium, a similar metal, being sliced with a knife - just like butter.
