When I was at the Celeb special filming, There's a screen directly above the camera used to film the Chaser (straight in their eyeline) which contains the question, and can switch into being the clock during the Final Chase for them. It may function as an autocue for the offers but it's very dimmed out so I don't know.
Where is The Chase filmed?

Filmed at Elstree Studios since last year.

Eileen was bit of a hindrance there at the start then picked up a bit.

Think Paul will win.

Paul should have this wrapped up in no time

And he's done it, but not as quickly as expected

It was Mark on Friday when he won so wonder if he is going to lose today?

He sounds a bit nasal today.

Sheesh, two Chasers so far this week struggling a bit with 14 steps. Wonder if it's going to be a low score team win this week?

I thought the show was filmed at the ITV London Studios previously but is now located at Granada Studios in Manchester next to BBC Mediacity.

What a terrible team. Really poor, they've given themselves no chance at all.

Bradley: "You can get a really good meal in the restaurant car on a train."

It sounds as if he doesn't travel on trains in the UK much. There are no restaurant cars left. There's sometimes a buffet car that serves sandwiches and burgers and so on over the counter, but that's about it.

They give you sandwiches and baked potatoes and light meals in First Class on the East Coast Main Line, but that's all. There's no full meals.

GNER used to have restaurant cars on the ECML but when they lost the franchise in 2007 they more or less disappeared.

Not very impressed with Kyle's performance there. He buzzed in right away on a simple mental arithmetic question (75% of 400 I think) and got it wrong. If you're going to buzz in on that sort of question, without giving the others time to work it out,you better get it right. Then there was another couple of questions where Bradley had barely finished reading the question and Kyle buzzed in and passed them, giving the others no time to think. You don't want to waste time, but at the same time you can't afford to have people buzzing in and passing and costing the team points when one of the others might have known it.

It reinforces my belief that there should always be a team captain nominated who takes charge, and deals with passing and guessing. The other players should be buzzing in only if they know the answer.

Anyone catch the name of the book the first lady wrote? This episode was obviously filmed a while back, as Jenny wasn't in the Chaser options, so I wonder if she's since got it published.

What a pillock John Sargent was on this, even if he hadn't heard of The Jam, you would still hazard a guess that 'Underground' or 'Overground' would be the answer, not 'Wombling free'
Apart from that question I got the feeling that the questions John Sergeant had been given appeared to generally be in the ballpark area of his sort of knowledge.

So it would appear that in the celebrity editions of the show they not only give the celebrities easier questions, but that the questions aren't always about showbiz and look to be tailored for each individual celebrity's sphere of knowledge.

I don't think he said restaurant car? East Midlands Train Service has proper plated meals in First Class

You might be right, maybe he didn't say restaurant car.

But there's no doubt food service on the train is not what it was.

First Class on the ECML is still pretty good, though,at least it is from King's Cross to Edinburgh. You usually get at least three rounds of the drinks trolley thrown in.. Last time I travelled First Class King's Cross to Waverley I think I managed two cans of beer, a glass of wine with my lunch, and two large G & T's, plus cups of tea, cake and crisps, all included with nothing extra to pay. If you book well in advance it only costs about twenty quid more than the standard class. It's well worth it - especially if you like a drink.

No good at the weekend, though. You don't get the drink thrown in. Have to buy it yourself.

Of course all this may well be different now it's run by Virgin,I've not travelled on it since they took over the ECML.

Definitely Elstree. I know ... I was there a while back - my show is yet to be transmitted though. I'm not telling you which one it is as well ... you'll have a bloody good laugh!
