It's a bit like a Zebra, where everyone would say it was white with black stripes (and the factoid that it is really black with white stripes). We can all argue semantics, and there is no definitive right answer, but generally I believe most people talking about anything that had stripes of white and 'any other colour' would consider the stripes to be the 'any other colour'.”

Not everyone. I wouldn't say white with black stripes or black with white stripes. I have always regarded that zebras have black and white stripes. That's why I couldn't understand Anne's confusion over the football question.

Hence why I said 'most'

I did a quick google on 'What colour are a zebra's stripes' and the top link I got was http://animals.howstuffworks.com/mam...ra-stripes.htm

That's not to prove that one way of saying it is correct or not, but just to show that the idea of the stripes being one of the two colours is a valid way of viewing it for many...

It's not a bad question. If you know the answer you say black and white or white and black. The order is irrelevant.

Stephen Poliakoff is one of my favourite playwrights although I'm often disappointed by his endings.

One of them said, "best to take the seven because we don't know what sort of form Paul's on today."

I will never understand why people keep going on about the Chasers being "on form" or "out of form". To me it's meaningless to talk about "form" on a quiz show.

If a Chaser gets more questions wrong than usual, then all it means it they got more questions than usual that they didn't know the answer to. And that's all it means. it doesn't mean they're "out of form". It's a quiz. You either know the answer or you don't.

Tennis, snooker, many individual sports are very form related.

Quizzing is not.

Yes, I always find that ridiculous as well - as if on certain days, the Chaser just can't remember much general knowledge at all. Though I suppose if s/he had a raging hangover or something...

You think? I reckon the questions have been trickier than usual. I had no clue about Graham crackers.

They all did OK in their Cashbuilders. I think they all got at least five right. That's hardly "very bad". They've just not known the answers when they've got to the head to head. And the questions have been pretty tough.

Paul's just knocked out the third player. He's certainly "on form" today.

What's the point in taking the middle offer, when you're the only player left? If you can't beat him at the table, what chance do you have in the final chase?

Brad to contestant 15 right thats £15000, however you're a better player than that.

To me if the first three get knocked out then the high offer's virtually a mandatory play for the last player no matter how good or bad they are. It's just too much to pass up, bearing in mind you'll get the whole lot to yourself if you win it.
