Dear oh dear. 1066 the decade. Alan Turing the nuclear scientist. There are some juicy submissions to Private Eye's Dumb Britain coming up after that performance.

£4000. What they'd be playing for if they'd all lost the head to head. Not exactly high rollers are they?

That was so easy for Jenny, any doubters must have been impressed with that display.

This is the worst team so far in The Chase Australia. Three down and one to go. If she fails, this will be the first time they've all got a second chance. I'm presuming it'll be for A$8,000.
And the last one falls. Wonder which one they'll pick to face the chaser again. Not exactly spoilt for choice. |

I don't know why some people bother going on when they go for a small amount of money |

When I see weak quizzers on this, I often wonder about the quality of the applicants. How many better quizzers were rejected for failing "tv-sparkle" criteria? Surely they'd do well to have an occasional show of clever-but-uninteresting or socially awkward players to raise the standard.
I'd watch. I often mute the chatter anyway. |

I don't know where this programme manages to find some of these applicants, their lack of basic general knowledge is an embarrassment. Makes me laugh when people have big dreams of what they would do with their winnings then take the low offer. Some of the questions recently wouldn't test many 5 year olds.

The logic by going on The Chase is that they can go on there with big dreams but pitiful general knowledge, attempt to coast through with the low offer and then hang on the coat tails of those on the team with brains in the hope they can stump up the decent money and win the final chase.

Looked like Paul miscounted thinking he had caught them and then mucked up an answer he knew.

Well done team, Paul played well too but just slipped up on the cheese question under pressure.
That's the first time I've actually seen the Chaser walking off at the end

That was one of the best final chases I'vve ever watched. Sinnerman was coasting, then even when he was pushed back and needed 7 he was answering them very quickly. He thought he got the 7th but he didn't and the team achieved an excellent victory.
Often when teams win they rely heavily on pushbacks. This team couldn't. They won by setting a high target. |
