He meant in the team's questions
But why does he assume that his girly knowledge, is better than theirs?

But surely it doesn't matter how good or bad his girly knowledge is if it's the team's questions. He's not saying his girly knowledge is better than theirs, he's just saying he hopes there will be lots of girly knowledge questions in the team's set, and they probably won't know them because there's no girls on the team. They get a shot at answering the questions he gets wrong, but he doesn't get a shot at the ones they get wrong, so it doesn't really matter for the team's questions how good (or bad) his is.

At least I think that's what he meant, although I'd have to watch it back to see exactly what he said.

Having said all that, his girly knowledge is likely to be better than theirs, simply because he's a professional quizzer and they aren't, so his knowledge of most things is likely to be better.

I don't know why we're arguing this moot point anyway. They won, he lost, end of.

The Sinhaman is doing a stand up routine on Tonight at the Palladium now. I didn't know he was gay.

I think the many pages might be because I was asking questions like the newbie I am.

I was really impressed with Pauls stand up, although he looked terrified.

I knew he was gay, thought it was common knowledge, he doesn't hide it.

He's a doctor (or was a doctor) and is a standup comedian now. Although judging tonights performance perhaps he should return to medicine.

It was nice to see Paul in a blue suit for a change! I thought he was very good. He is my favourite chaser along with Anne, then Mark and Shaun. Don't think much of Jenny, she hasn't got the brains or personality of the others.

It's Shaun Wallace who's a lawyer.

Well, I don't know either, but it was you that brought the topic of girly knowledge up, and questioned why Mark would think his girly knowledge was better than the team's.

I was watching on +1 and Mark just said it, going into the break before the final. I just thought it was an odd thing for him to say, as he wasn't a girlie either.

Bloody hell! Glad you lot don't go on The Chase, not knowing this or that about the Sinnaman. Yes, he's gay and is/was a Doctor and Shaun is a Barrister - Simples.

You are all excused unconditionally if you haven't been watching The Chase for more than a month.

What would happen if the only person who got through to the final round hadn't won any money? Anybody know?

The producers would take all the contestants out the back, shoot them, dispose of the bodies, pretend they'd never turned up and not show that episode. It's the only sensible thing to do.

It would be very unlikely for this to happen, they may not have even thought about what they would do if it happened. I suspect they would put a token amount in the prize fund, say a hundred pounds or something. Somebody played for only £500 last week, that's the lowest prize fund I've seen.

I remember one from a while back when player 1 got knocked out and player two took a lower offer of a pound or something and got through. I was hoping the other two would get knocked out as well, just for the comedy value of seeing somebody in the Final Chase playing for a prize fund of a pound. But one of the other two spoiled it by getting through.

Presumably they would never have a zero 'lower offer', so it would have to be for someone who got zero in their cash builder. Has that ever happened ?

Then that person would need to be the only one to get through

I'm going to be bold and say Paula will get £9,000 in the cash builder.

It is either that or she will do badly (like me) and get £1,000 or £2,000.

I'd have got £4,000.

I'd offer £1,000 and £20,000
