Well said. I was getting a little fed up with reading a few tiresome posts going on about a getting a basic Maths question wrong. It happens to all of us. Maths is easy to some, but some people can get flummoxed by numbers easily, under pressure especially. I do well in quizzes normally, but sometimes make a complete fool of myself with Geography and Sports questions.
I know she quite hastily blamed a teacher in one of the Tweets, but later in school, Jenny would have done GCSEs like myself, and much of the syllabus in the early days was just weird, e.g. learning about glaciers and soil creep in Geography at that basic level, and not even touching on cities and other aspects of the world. At 16 I had no idea of what was the capital of Malaysia (or if it was actually a country), yet could rather drearily tell you about a drumlin. IMHO, if you were born 1970s onwards, you need to learn more 'General Knowledge' on your own motivation, as GCSE school syllabuses seem(ed) to miss a lot of what I would consider more essential material.
