Paul was able to take his time on the New England Patriots answer as he looked at the clock and knew he had plenty of time to go.

Thank goodness they had Jemma - awesome last 20 seconds from her.

Amazonian comic book heroine = POCAHONTAS?! That's the best answer they could come up with?

Strange thing to say, and she's not going to make many friends with comments like:
"Really don't give a monkey's if you switch over, don't like me - I'm perplexed as to why you'd go to the bother of @-ing me about it".

I don't twit or read other people's twits but it does seem Jenny is taking it a bit personally.

Better for her to avoid social media probably as people can be quite caustic I'm sure.

Well said. I was getting a little fed up with reading a few tiresome posts going on about a getting a basic Maths question wrong. It happens to all of us. Maths is easy to some, but some people can get flummoxed by numbers easily, under pressure especially. I do well in quizzes normally, but sometimes make a complete fool of myself with Geography and Sports questions.

I know she quite hastily blamed a teacher in one of the Tweets, but later in school, Jenny would have done GCSEs like myself, and much of the syllabus in the early days was just weird, e.g. learning about glaciers and soil creep in Geography at that basic level, and not even touching on cities and other aspects of the world. At 16 I had no idea of what was the capital of Malaysia (or if it was actually a country), yet could rather drearily tell you about a drumlin. IMHO, if you were born 1970s onwards, you need to learn more 'General Knowledge' on your own motivation, as GCSE school syllabuses seem(ed) to miss a lot of what I would consider more essential material.

Mistakes in pub quizzes are so easily made and that's when under no pressure. For instance tonight, I answered Uranus for last planet in alphabetical order. Imagine having to answer questions constantly at speed knowing that your job is reliant on you doing well. Studio lights do funny things to contestants too, it's really not the same as just watching from your own living room so I don't see the point of sniping at chaser mistakes or contestant errors.

Haven't been able to watch for a few days, did I miss anything?

Personally I do think it's a bit odd to @ someone on twitter to make sure they see your dismissive tweet. Attention seeking is all it is.

I'd like to know what Emma's 'strategy' is ? By my reckoning - not to win much money.
