i hated him...£200, why even bother leaving the house? these young student types are an embarrassment, who would dream of going on a quiz show unless your general knowledge was fairly decent. going for the lowest offer and hoping to hang on the coat tails of your fellow contestants is mostly self serving and greedy and says a lot about the people doing so.

I think you've summed it up perfectly. These people are selfish and shameless and essentially taking everybody else for a ride by getting they're hands on money other people have worked for by doing nothing in return. I personally would never take the minus because I'd feel mortified knowing I was sponging off others. I can never understand why the contestants who've gotten through advise those playing to take the minus; if somebody was prepared to take away money I've earned I wouldn't want them on my team

I remember watching a much earlier episode where player 1 - a Scotsman I believe - took the high offer and got through only for another player to take a minus offer. Player 1 called him a maggot for doing so. If looks could kill that lad would have been struck dead on set! The team lost.
