Another excellent performance from the chaser

I take it back about this being one of THOSE games, as Paul said good team today even if they slightly overperformed

No messing about by Paul, very measured display, giving himself enough time to come out with the right answer where he had a bit of doubt.

Not the worst team though, they did really well.

Paul likes show tunes. Who would've guessed that?

Just a thought. . . . .
Is John our 'Welsh Lad'?
Would love to go on the Chase!
Well he dresses well enough to be gay.
John =. very cute. Wouldn't say no!
No, Welsh Lad's profile suggests otherwise
Yes I am very much from the non-trendy end of the spectrum.
John is blond, twinky and fashionable. I have black hair, hairy and am either dressed in sports kit or Rocha clothes - smart casual from Debenhams
You've seen him from the side?
My best side
You're right. I didn't think to check. Trust me to dive in at the deep end.
I was flattered x

Fair play to the young guy for sticking on the £3k,
I worked out okay for him (and the next contestant) but I found it a bit cowardly. The percentage choice was the lower offer or the higher offer if he felt like it.

The middle offer is quite often the wimps choice and it was today despite the comments on the show and on here. Going for the lower offer takes more courage because of the flack people get and many are not brave enough for this.

The team did well but 17 is no good against Paul Sinha.

He answers so briskly even when he needs to think. That is the difference between him and Anne Hegerty.

The Beast has mentioned before that Anne's advice is to take your time before answering. Good advice.

I agree and it's certainly not a good idea to interrupt Brad and launch in with a wrong answer.
Anne does seem to take a while to scan her own memory for the answers. She often looks a bit pained and says 'Errrrrr...'
Paul seems to get there a bit faster these days.

Anne is still my favourite chaser though.

Paul is 14th place atm on the results of world quizzing championships.
Anne also competed, and is currently at 42nd place. Scores could go down but the 2 eggheads aliong with the chase question setter Olav Bjortmot take the top 3.

Did anybody watch You Saw Them Here First on Saturday night? Worth catching up on for some archive clips of the Chasers - mostly on quiz shows, natch. Shaun with a mad pineapple-like hairstyle on Jerry Springer's Greed, Mark on Countdown (getting beaten), and Jenny and Anne on University Challenge and Mastermind respectively; both of them looking older in the clips than they do now!

Oh, and Paul - doing stand-up as ever...

Be prepared for some disruption starting next week. The football starts impinging on the Chase then. As a footy fan myself I shan't be too worried but all you weirdos (no offence) who don't like football you'll have to suffer.

So now Paul is 14th in the world quizzing championships, do we accept he's the best chaser?

I'll be watching every game including England although I'll be supporting my second team Italy

And before you say it I know Scotland didn't qualify

If someone can let me know when the England games are on, I'll hang my St. George's flag outside.

Wales v England on 16th June@2.00pm
England v Slovakia on 20th June@8.00pm

you're too far away from me to see your flag so go ahead, knock yourself out
