We have a Primary School teacher in seat 3 tonight, this should be fun
He did reasonably well in the final chase.

not to do with the chase - but ive been trying to start a thread in this forum, but it wont let me fill the title in so therefore wont let me submit..

do you have to have a set number of posts or something to start a thread? I'd start a thread to ask, but i can't!!!
Don't keep us guessing, Fozzie! What's the title?

Mount Fujiama??? that's a bit dodgy, didn't think it's ever been called that, always thought it was Mount Fuji without any other suffix to it.

Thanks for that info, I'd never heard it called that before and it comes up loads of times in quizzes.

Paul comes out with some great lines, you can tell he's good at doing comedy stand up.

Paul's right, if Steve had got through they would have won.

I hate how Paul pauses like he doesn't know and finds the answer

Personally I thought they were building up the guy who was eliminated by Paul far too much. They made out that he was a quizzing genius. But he wasn't that great. I personally thought that Helen was better and it was Helen who really came into her own in the final chase.

In fact I'm skeptical when they say if only you had more on your team you would have scored much more. Because quite often whether the team is two, three, or four, the average scores always seem to be around the 15 to 17 mark.

It'll be another two weeks before Jenny's on.
It always is. Or at least feels like it.

You never know, sometimes when there's three or four people in the team they can often get in each other's way and cramp each others style which puts them all off.

Fair point, especially bearing in mind the extra head start a team of four gets. A team of four who scored 17 has only answered 13 questions. A team of two getting 16 steps has actually answered one more question.

It's quite funny when the first three have got through and they say to the last player, "We need you back here for the Final Chase." Unless they're a brilliant quizzer, they probably don't. If I were on The Chase and I'd got through in Seat 1 or 2, and the first three of us were through, I'd want seat 4 to go for the high offer every time. If they bring it back, that's great. And if they get knocked out they probably won't be missed. I would reckon to get maybe 12 or 13 myself in the Final Chase as Captain and if my team mates chipped in with half a dozen between them we'd be looking at a score of 19 or 20 which should be just about favourite to win. An extra player probably wouldn't make much difference, they could even cost you points if they buzz in with wrong answers.

The real advantage of having more on the team is on the pushbacks, when they get a chance to discuss it and work out the answer. And today that wouldn't have made any difference because I think Paul only got two wrong which they pushed him back on anyway.
