Is that the quickest final chase ever?
Poor performance from Jenny. If it had been any of the other chasers, it would've been over in half that time.

This is a strategy I have suggested on this thread before, that teams should nominate a "captain" to take charge of the final chase and deal with guessing and passing. Not having been on the show myself, though, I have always wondered if there was enough time before the final chase for teams to discuss tactics about buzzing and passing. I am pleased you have been able to confirm that there is.

I think if more teams did this scores in the final chase would be higher, as there would be less dithering about when nobody knows it and they're all standing there waiting for somebody to buzz in and pass.

Hollyoaks, though, instead of Eastenders, on the "Which soap..." question? After he said Corrie and it was wrong, if you're guessing, you have to go Eastenders, it's like the fish/bird strategy for a "What sort of creature is a..." question. It's nearly always one of those two. You were lucky that didn't cost you.

But well done on your win.
I think there was about 10 minutes between Susan getting back and the final chase beginning, 2 of those minutes were spent with me and Pamela arguing over who would be spokesperson and 5 of them with me and Susan going to the toilet. In the remaining 3 minutes we discussed our strategy and all seemed happy with what we came up with.

For some reason none of us thought of Eastenders, a lot of the contestant discussions on Mark's wrong answers was cut but that was probably because there were so many of them they needed to cut our chatting to save time.

Happy to answer any questions people have about filming so long as it doesn't give away any key secrets

I thought Bradley was going to burst out laughing at one point while he was asking the solo contestant the questions and getting so many passes. Btw, he did look a bit like Richard Osman.

So the reason the Beast doesn't go to the beach is the very reason the Vixen does.

He should have gone for the 57 grand. You're only here once. Very knowledgable guy.

Spends too much time thinking rather than answering!

I have a few - do you get to meet any of the other chasers? Are them and Bradley nice in real life?

Also are there many outtakes during the rounds that don't make it onscreen?

Didn't meet any of the other Chasers, the production team are very careful to ensure we didn't see any Chasers in the hallways etc, so we were escorted everywhere. After recording we were whisked off to the debriefing room so didn't get a chance to speak to Mark at all which was a shame.

Bradley was really nice, it was obvious he wants the team to win.

Loads of things were cut. My cash builder had to be halted after a mispronounciation by Bradley which got the independent adjudicator out. Same happened during Mark's final chase.

The show took about 2 hours to film and only one hour of that makes the final edit. I also believe they often cut out questions from the individual chase where both people get it wrong although that didn't happen in my show.

I bet cock ups in the cash builders and final chases are a headache for the editors.

Really surprised you never got to speak to any them afterwards! Perhaps Mark was angry, lol. I can understand they want to maintain the element of surprise beforehand though.

Good to hear Bradley is as nice as he comes across onscreen.

I do enjoy the show, primarily became am like a sponge, when it comes to absorbing facts. I record it as I am at work.
Recently, however, more contestants are happy to be carried by either the braver, or more knowledgeable, and are taking the minus offers. How can hey have the nerve to do that? I realise it is a GAME show, and they are allowed to do that, but I find myself willing them to lose. Now, when a contestant does its, I switch it off.
I watched a recorded episode, where one guy, Duncan, opted for the higher offer, and won with £21,000, and this prick went for minus £3,000, reducing the bank to £28,000. Duncan was, understandably, irate, saying he had a hump on his back, from carrying him, and calling him a maggot.
Can't blame him. I would not be too impressed, in his position. They didn't win the final chase. Even Paul voiced his disdain for the guy.
