I realise it is a GAME show, and they are allowed to do that, but I find myself willing them to lose. Now, when a contestant does its, I switch it off.
I watched a recorded episode, where one guy, Duncan, opted for the higher offer, and won with £21,000, and this prick went for minus £3,000, reducing the bank to £28,000. Duncan was, understandably, irate, saying he had a hump on his back, from carrying him, and calling him a maggot.
Can't blame him. I would not be too impressed, in his position. They didn't win the final chase. Even Paul voiced his disdain for the guy.”
If you really enjoyed the show, you wouldn't switch it off. Minus offers have proven several times in the past to be a turning point in winning the money, and by that I mean the extra step and any questions answered by them, which is usually 1 or 2 as of recent but hey, it's given some wins. That Duncan episode was painful to watch. I could understand he was frustrated with the minus offer taker, but he was a bit of a bully. I also remember Paul's frustration, but frankly, he was annoyed the first player Duncan called him a loser. He even said at the end, “I think the turning point of the game was when Duncan called me a loser.”

Or something like that, but I'm pretty sure he said that.
