'Was you' and 'you was' are both incorrect. 'Were' should be used in combination with 'you', whether referring to the singular or the plural. I think that a general knowledge quiz presenter should get it right.
I was joking about him not being aware it was the subjunctive, since it starts with "If". Indicative and subjunctive are the same with "you". Substitute "I" for "you" and you can see the difference: "I was walking down the road" but "If I were to win xx amount of money..".

You often find that the chasers start dithering when they havent got a particularly high score to catch, they get a couple of questions wrong to help make it look like a closer contest. Occasionally the chasers will go for it on a small target, which in my book is much better but it creates better TV for them to dawdle along and make it appear that the losing team havent lost by much. All wrong though.
Spot on of course but the gullible still insist this doesn't happen

as is often the case for player 4, the middle offer is the clear worst option.
If he wants to make sure he gets back and help out the other player he should take the lower offer. There's hardly much difference in the money. And if he wants to have a dash and go for the big money he should take the higher offer. In this case the middle offer shouldn't even be considered. |
