She beat 21 on her opening episode but she has never got a score higher than 20 to chase down since.

She had some easy questions towards the end, very close, team did very well, would've easily beaten her if they had the other player.

I expect whoever walks over the bridge tomorrow will lose. Chances are it'll be Paul.

'Chicken sexer' , generates a laugh from the fake audience. What they do with the ones that are the wrong sex, isn't so amusing.

I wonder what they would have done if the young girl really had been the only one left, with a prize fund of zero. There might be something in the "rulebook" to cover this, then again there might not, it being so unlikely to happen.
I doubt they could have a Final Chase with a prize fund of nothing at all. That would be just silly. I suspect either A) They would put a token amount in the prize fund, say £500 or £100, or B) They would treat it as an all four eliminated situation, and the team would get to choose one player to come back to play for a thousand each. Maybe somebody from Chase HQ will come on here and tell us. And while they're here they might also tell us why the show is getting so predictable, with never showing two wins in a row, the weekly win is nearly always in the middle of the week, and even the Chaser that loses each week following a fairly predictable pattern. I doubt they will, though. |

They should've offered a minus lower offer and if she lost on her own, they should hold her in a cell till her friends and family pay the money back. Maybe it would dissuade some of these clueless muppets, who just want to get on TV, from applying.
![]() ![]() I think "clueless muppet" is harsh. Yes her Cashbuilder was very poor but she redeemed herself a bit in the Final Chase with some good answers, like Hermes for example. She did much better than I would have expected for a zero Cashbuilder player. |

Ah, but technically, if it was a minus prize fund, and you won, you would win a minus amount of money ie, you would owe the TV company the money...thus the thing to do with a minus prize fund would be to deliberately lose.

Me too. Disappointing.
On the easiest question of the night. "Which of these is a Looney Tunes character?". I thought it was going to be an obscure support character, not one of LT's biggest stars. |

It must be option A, surely. And as they play for £1000 each when they all get eliminated, I would assume one person back with zero in the prize fund would also play for £1000.
There was one a while back when somebody took £500 as the lower offer, and was the only player to get through. So they played the Final Chase for only £500. They didn't bump it up to a thousand. I'm still waiting to see somebody take a tiny low offer (like a pound or something, you do occasionally see it offered) and be the only one to get back. Then you'd have a Final Chase for a total prize fund of a pound. That would arguably be funnier than a Final Chase for no money at all. I wonder if they would bump up the prize fund in that instance, after all it is a real sum of money (unlike zero), however tiny. |

It's Paul today and a few posters seem to have suggested that he will lose.
We shall see soon enough but he is off to good start knocking out Player 1 |

Wish the show wouldn't be so predictable - it should show some losses on Monday/Friday! As soon as I heard it was Paul who would be losing I knew we'd see him today.

The way this is going, the last two better be good if they're going to beat Paul.
