I wonder if it's a habit and she'll say that when she answers questions in the Final Chase

We'll never know

Too easy for Mark, they underperformed badly in Final Chase.

Another one happy to settle for a small amount of £3000 each. Makes you wonder why they bother. This is what killed The Weakest Link and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Quite frankly, however much or little there is in the prize fund makes no difference whatsoever to my enjoyment of this programme. It's all about testing my own general knowledge, considering how I would have fared against the Chaser with that particularly set of questions and willing the team on to beat the Chaser.

I would be very happy to receive £3000 for a day's work.
You're not Donald Trump, are you?

What killed The Weakest Link and Who Wants to be a Millionaire was Anne Robinson and Chris Tarrant moving on to pastures new.

I don't understand people who think that the amount of money to be won is the be all and end all of appearing on a quiz show.

I don't see them applying for Mastermind, Only Connect or Hive Minds

No, that's not the case, viewers got fed up with the formats. They even revamped Millionaire but it had little long term effect. I can possibly see the same happening with Pointless, especially as the BBC never give it a break and keep showing repeats. At least The Chase has a summer break.

On today's episode, after a male contestant took the lowest offer, Shaun's comment was 'You must have a lot of starch in that shirt. It's the only thing that's holding you up'.
Harsh, Shaun!

The Weakest Link had run its natural course IMO

As for Millionaire, where to start?

They never really recovered from the Ingram scandal, then making it practically impossible to win the million when they introduced the timer after said scandal....Too much reliance on celebrities in the last few series, which has unfortunately spread to many other shows since....The list is endless

There was no scandal. Ingram was suspected and proved to have cheated.

Introducing the timer was nothing to do with the Ingram episode.

Even though player 2 looks quite good I can't see them winning.

Paul lost last time out, plus it's a Monday, when they hardly ever show a team win.
