it appear that's the case. tho' TBH, it's not always clear-cut that a low cashbuilder score means a poor contestant
eg the guy on Wed got 3, was caught out, but then got 18 on his own in the Final

I've always thought Jenny was good in the Head-to-heads, and according to this, it looks to be the case
however, I think she feels the pressure in the Final Chase more than the others ....

Yeah, the Q's are quite different, but there are so few episodes I think the results may be all over the place anyway

Ryan needs one of these

Combined cashbuilder score of 17 making them below average so expect Paul to win.

That had passed me by, but I've stuck it in my Watch Later on iPlayer. Thanks for mentioning it

The team won yesterday, so he's almost certain to win.

In fact now that they seem to stick so rigidly to the one win a week formula, once there's been a win in the week, you're unlikely to see another one until the next week.

They really could do with mixing it up a bit.

If Ryan gets lot's of correct answers then we know he was definitely bluffing.

Yeah Ryan guessed them all in the cashbuilder! Didn't know any in the final chase hardly!

'Bluffing' in what sense?

How would it benefit a player to deliberately under-perform in the cashbuilder and then go for a high amount and hope to win?

Well there is one case where it would work.

If you're player four and the first three have been knocked out, you should be going for the high offer almost every time. Thus it isn't really in your interest to get a good Cashbuilder like six or seven thousand, since you almost certainly won't be taking it. Also that would shop the business that you're a good player and they might be a bit more cagey with the high offer. Your plan should be to maximise the high offer. You'd be better off getting something like £2,000. Then the high offer could be huge. A bloke got £100,000 as the high offer as player four (and the only one left) not that long ago, after a not very good Cashbuilder.

Of course it's possible that they might suspect you're bluffing, if they know from the auditions that you're a good player.

Watching on +1 and if he's bluffing, the guy should go and work for MI5. He's got the most clueless, vacant look, I've seen since, well Jenny yesterday.
