Other than player one this has been a boring and charisma free episode.

You used 3 confused emojis. That was the problem.

It was 3 'shocked' emojis I used which I thought you would get.

I liked player 1 and would have wanted her to win if player 4 was not there! So I'm happy that the Chaser managed to catch them at the end.

ITV should have probably edited that out, I've not seen anything that has dated an older Chase episode so explicitly as that.
It makes you wonder if anybody sits down and checks old episodes, ie watches them again before they get repeated, just to make sure there's nothing like the above that was fine at the time but would sound a bit odd when repeated, such as a question about somebody who's recently died, or perhaps been in trouble of some sort.

Given how many episodes of The Chase there are available to show again, it's a bit odd to show one again that makes such a reference to David Bowie, I mean it's not just a question about him, it's somebody talking about wanting to meet him.

Obviously this sort of thing wouldn't apply to channels like Challenge, a large chunk of whose output is old episodes of game shows from years ago. But it's a bit odd to hear it slip through on ITV at teatime, on what is, I believe, their top rated game show.

Screaming "Masterpiece" at the screen, so obvious would have won it for them!

Doesn't magnum opus mean the same thing? Should have been given that point.

It does mean the same thing but the question was "Which word..." so they were looking for one word not two.

I don't have a problem with them referring to David Bowie. There was no offence.

If anyone's wondering how Bradley's album has done in the charts, it has been in the charts for 3 weeks and gone 10-13-14 which isn't bad. It has sold 74,000 copies so far, which is more than a lot of artists this year. Pretty good for his first album and he's only really had a TV advert to promote it.

Things I hate about modern quiz shows #4,567: When asked what they are going to spend their prize money on, the contestants always give a worthy, pc type answer - eg. I'll give it all away to charity. Why for once, can't they just be honest and say I'll spend it all on booze and fags or even Class A Drugs?

Because maybe the contestants are wiser than you think?

I'd love to hear a story of someone who's blown their Chase winnings on booze, fags or Class A drugs but I can't see it. Probably because it's never happened.

I don't think any contestant on the regular show have ever said they'd give all their winnings to charity!

A lot have admitted they'd blow it all on a Vegas trip or something similar, so it's not like they all have to proclaim they're hoping for the money to spend on worthy pursuits.

Complaining that they don't admit to being criminals on national TV is frankly ridiculous, though.

I suspect if one of them said something like that, thinking they were being smart, or funny, the filming would be stopped and they'd be told to say something a bit more sensible, even if what they said was true.

What gets me is not the answers they give, worthy or not, it's the convention that they have to be asked in the first place.

It seems to be a staple now that people on quiz shows have to get asked what they would spend the money on. Why? Who cares? What if you just said, put it in the bank? Which I suspect a lot of people probably do anyway. But nobody ever says that. Why do you have to have something in mind that you'll spend the money on? I wouldn't, if I went on The Chase, but I suppose I'd have to come up with something. I might say spend it on swimming with dolphins or hiking along the Great Wall of China. Say any old nonsense to keep them happy.

I couldn't care less what people on quiz shows who win money spend it on. I have no interest. Just get on with the game.

I can't quite believe DS have managed to create a whole front page article about the 'David Bowie' repeat episode.

This lass is not the cleverest but she does have a good sense of humour.

I thought everyone knew that 'messages' means the shopping.

I didn't

Didn't know any of her questions to be honest.
