I'm not going to say anything because I'm trying to be tolerant.
It's SO hard. |

"Zero is absolutely ok"? If I was standing next to Patrick, I would've given him a dead arm.

Omg! She beat Jenny on that question because she thought a clarinet was a brass instrument.

These Gala Bingo sponsor links with Jenny and Shaun are totally cringe worthy.

Beth thought the second word of the anthem was 'Queen'.
Thick as pigshit that one. |

You know revenge porn? When a man gets at his ex-girlfriend by posting naked picture of her on the internet? Do you think Beth's ex-boyfriend got revenge on her by sending in an application for her for The Chase? |

The sinnerman looked like he had only just woken up/slightly drugged up during that little segment he was in.

But they've done so many episodes with so many contestants. It's only natural, they are not as good as they used to be.
Whenever I see old eps (I'm a relatively new Chase watcher) the contestants always seem much stronger in the cash builders - quite often getting 5k plus, where with the newer ones showing on ITV now 5k seems a good result. |

I caught a repeat on Challenge yesterday - one of the contestants was Derek Hayes who I've seen on loads of other quizzes over the years. He and one of the others got 8,000 each against Mark and then beat him in the final chase (Mark said he thought Derek was a good quizzer and could have taken his higher offer).
Whenever I see old eps (I'm a relatively new Chase watcher) the contestants always seem much stronger in the cash builders - quite often getting 5k plus, where with the newer ones showing on ITV now 5k seems a good result. It's basically why teams scoring over 20/Chasers catching 20+ scores on the challenge repeats (which go up to Series 4) are so common when now they're a rarity, it was a genuinely easier show back then. |

Go and watch some matches in a quiz league - I think you will be surprised at how much more knowledgeable the team members are than the people they put on this show. |
