Bit unfortunate how the Gala Bingo adverts portray Jenny and Shaun as jovial, energetic comedy characters, whereas the show's been spending ages trying to portray any Chaser as an intimidating figure of quizzing doom. (Shaun in particular having been Mr Grumpy for 8 years now),

An odd choice for the advertising campaign...
I'd say they just grabbed the cheapest two to perform and didn't care about keeping 'character'.
It's a crap ad either way, but at least not quite as bad as the frustratingly awful acting on the last sponsor.

Yes!

Thought Claire was very good yesterday - and the guy from Brain of Britain was "unlucky" to get 3 pop-culture questions - you could tell he was on much firmer ground with all the others.
The questions in the Head-to-head are so varied, it can catch anyone out, even the BoB.
A good guessing finger can make all the difference !

Team were unlucky not to win the final, a score of 19 gives approx 75% chance of winning
A couple of good guesses would have made the difference eg: 24 triangles on Backgammon board

Also voted for The Chase !

Bad news from next week for Irish fans of TV quizzes - up to now, UTV Ireland had shown The Chase at six o'clock, allowing people to watch both the show and Pointless live. From next week, however, The Chase moves to TV3, who have moved it to the graveyard slot of one in the afternoon!

Of course Henri's not her real name, it's Bernard.

If you don't know the game of backgammon then you've virtually no chance of guessing the number of points.

Beth. I know that only from watching Friends because Joey got upset after borrowing the book from Rachel!

Why is Terry not a Chaser
Because Anne would then be the only female.

OK. Where's the punchline, Stan? Are you suggesting that the Vixen is a drag act?

Not at all. If that were the case then Anne would already be the only female. What I was inferring was that Jenny would be fired to make room.
