Not like when you were at school eh? Writing with a feather and an ink well.
We did have inkwells. But not quills.

Very good team, expect them to get at least 21 in Final Chase.

More like a stone tablet and chisel.

Let's hope they don't get in each other's way.
The girls would do well to stand back and let Terry get on with it.

Terry isn't being subtle with his button pressings. It's probably because he's so tall.

What happens when the team win something like £2333.66 each? Does it get rounded or do they actually get that amount?

Excellent score.

Indeed, the button must have been fearing for its life!

Wow! Terry. The women needed to just let him do it. I'd be so happy if I made the show and he was on my team!

Of course not. He wasn't on the winning team.

Yesss. Well done. Thrilling stuff - how can anyone watch that pompous dirge Pointless instead of this?

Terry is probably the best contestant I've ever seen on this programme.

Well done and very well deserved.

Very true must feel gutting though when your the only one that doesn't get through and your other team mates win the game.

Way it goes I guess

Are us great DS members able to sort some sort of petition to try to get Terry as a Chaser does anyone think? Down to earth guy with a sense of humour, brilliant at quizzing and kept his cool when the women answered and yet he was fast on the ball and he didn't slip up by answering instead. He'd be an amazing Chaser, great to see

I'd be more than happy to replace the Vixen with him. She just hasn't lived up to expectations.
I don't think it matters that there would only be one female chaser. It's all about quality rather than quantity.

No. Unfortunately we have no influence over the show. However we have the opportunity to slag off many of the inept contestants which we often take advantage of.

What on earth do they teach 'em at school these days?
Sometimes I ask myself the same question ... and I'm a teacher!

He knew with 9 to catch the team she had no chance of winning.
Earlier on however, he had barely finished saying 'correct' to Anne's answer than the first word of the next question was out of his mouth.

I don't go with this 'my team' nonsense. Bradders is in favour of the Chaser every time.

Just a couple of Stats from the World Quizzing Championships 2016 from The Chase

Only two Chasers took part

14 - Paul Sinha (Strongest Subject - Entertainment, Weakest Subject - Science)
55 - Anne Hegerty (Strongest Subject - Science, Weakest Subject - Sport)

Here are the Eggheads results by way of comparison

1 - Kevin Ashman
3 - Pat Gibson
51 - Barry Simmonds
496 - Beth Webster

But there's no reasons why viewers who wish to do so shouldn't email viewerservices@itv.com with their suggestions.
