That was short and sweet, very surprised she went for high offer as they already had a decent amount in the pot.

She was great - and I liked her reasoning: she thought the other two could do as well without her, so she took the risk. She was just unlucky with the questions.

I thought Harry should have taken the minus offer, there would have been £12K between the 3 of them as opposed to £17K, not really much of a difference. He probably felt pressured to stick on £2K as Brad was even chipping in to tell him it would be easy.

Out of the 4 traditional chasers I think Mark is the best followed by Anne followed by Paul and then Shaun. The new Chaser seems quite good, she's probably on par with Anne.

I wonder if they would have done it if he got through?

I like Bradley Walsh, but one thing that irks me is how he often chips in with something negative, no matter what option someone decides to go for.

If they go for the middle offer (what they got in the cashbuilder,) and they are 3 steps away from the chaser at the end, he tuts and says 'see you coulda gone for the 50K...'

If they go for the high amount however, and they only have one step between them and the chaser halfway down the board, he says 'mmm, if you'd gone for the cashbuilder amount, you could be through by now.'

He even said (today,) to the lad who went for his cashbuilder amount, and was on his final chance 'Look, if you'd gone for the minus amount, you'd be back there now.'

It's a bit of a niggle for me. I'm like 'So they went for that option, and that is that. Stop trying to make them feel bad or stupid for not making the 'correct' choice!'

Yeah I agree with you here. Why does he make them feel bad? I do like Bradley though.

I don't know. It's a bit odd. He doesn't seem like a person who would want to purposely upset people or make them feel bad, but he does do what I highlighted on nearly every show!

As I said, apart from that, I like him.

I don't think he would have made it any better for them tbh.

I think that's a bit selective, really. He does say lots of positive things too ("good job you didn't go for the higher offer - you'd be out!") Plus, it's not really negative - he's only saying what many of the viewers may be thinking anyway

I think he also says it to try to influence the other contestants by encouraging them to consider the alternate offers. Anne does the same, by rolling her eyes and saying "oh, it's another boring team all going for the middle offers!" on the first players. Mark and Paul often comment on the "brave advice" from the later players to set them up too.

Commenting at that point - whether negative or positive comments - is incorrect though. The decision of what amount to play for is made WITHOUT knowing what the questions will be or what the Chaser will answer. Bradley should only comment at the point of the original decision whether he thinks their decision is a good one. Commenting at a later stage when more information is known than at the point of decision is incorrect. (Similar to the nonsense of Deal or No Deal where Noel Edmonds will ask the contestants to 'play on' after they have dealt and then passes comment on whether they made a good decision or not to deal, basing his comments on the information that comes after the decision.)

Isn't it usual to have repeats in half term?

Good start by Andrew.

It's Paul today, I love his witty comments.

Bad mistake by Andrew, basic error in not reading question properly

Paul tonight. Not often you see the first player go for the highest.

First man took the highest offer, completely mugged up a question and still got home. You don't see that very often.

Painting toenails seemed like the obvious answer to me, goth make-up and all that.

Anyone remember that oldish guy who managed to egg all three previous players into taking the higher offers, and I think they all got through, but he took a massive minus?
