Since when did US counties become fair game for quizzers?

I know people will say they both got it right, but they both admitted it was a guess. Incredibly harsh question.

It's like asking the fourteenth-highest mountain in Croatia! Who the hell knows or cares?

Yes, shame she's gone too.

The last girl being young probably won't impress. £4-5k and going low? (-£2k)

There are also wild camels in Asia and Australia, so maybe it was that the giraffe is only found in Africa?
That's true but the Australian camels were taken there. They are not native.

£4k. Bobcar will probably call her a coward and it's probably the wrong decision but I was wrong to assume she'd go low.

I think Dan can win this on his own with a reasonably favourable set of questions.

Such a good team today, but 75% have been vanquished emphatically.

She'd probably have needed an eight-question head start to get home!

Good all round general knowledge is essential to being a good quizzer

Even the geeky Geography stuff nobody's bothered about can come in handy

Then again, my best subjects on the Wednesday night quiz in the Crown and Glove are TV Trivia and retro music

Disappointing effort in the end, I think he was far better than that.

There's having good general knowledge and there's having encyclopaedic knowledge. There are more than 3000 counties in the US. US states fair enough but that was incredibly specific.

Shame he didn't know his Clockwork Orange, he'd have been good in the final chase.
Anthony Burgess writes spy novels? Maybe he mixed him up with Guy Burgess.

Anyone else feel kind of sorry for Jenny? It's a shame because she does seem to be very knowledgable; this is exemplified I think by the intricate detail she gives on her answers in the head to head. But I think she really struggles under the pressure of the final chase, which is where, unfortunately, it really counts. Clearly being a chaser takes more than knowledge and intelligence. You have to be able to hold your nerve too, and at the moment she doesn't really seem to be cut out for the job, sadly. She was very impressive in those first shows and I'm hoping that they may have been later recordings, when perhaps she'd grown into her role a little. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking!

Statistics say otherwise, you only have to look a few posts up in this thread to see that, purely on the numbers, Jenny is not (yet) the worst chaser.

I'm sure 'long necked' was in the question about the giraffe.
As soon as you hear "long-necked", the answer has to be Naomi Campbell, doesn't it?

Or Helen "Gail Platt" Worth from Corrie?

Jenny has 7 wins to 6 losses, which is about a 54% win record. Easily the worst first 13 games of any of the Chasers. Purely on the numbers... She kinda is the worst almost by default. But I would say that's too much of a snap judgement since she doesn't have hundreds of games under her belt like the other 4.
