Yes!!! Great win. Thought Andrew blew it by overruling his team mates Paul McCartney answer.

Well done team! I only turned on half way through (catching up on PG Wodehouse's Bertie Wooster on Radio 4 Extra) but this is a likeable team so I'll watch the first half on ITV+1 ETA: |

Perfect example of the way a good final chase score (20+) works double, in that it doesn't give the chaser time to think.

Great team and great win.
![]() Huge objection to a ruled out answer in one of the cashbuilders though. The question was "which US sport is split between the AFC and the NFC?" The contestant answered "football", which isn't wrong (regardless of whether us Brits agree with it or not!) but Bradley said "I can't accept, I needed AMERICAN football." Did he really, given he'd specified it was a US sport in the question? It just seemed a bit too picky. |

Yeah I thought that was odd also. Because the Americans just call it football.

That one hit the post, rolled along the goal-line and hit the other post, but it IS football and American football in the country and football and soccer in the USA. And Annie - what a star! Great in the final chase.

Maybe Bradley should have said "More, please".

Does anyone else think Annie looked a little like the Duchess of Cambridge? Brilliant and exciting episode.

Nice team - was really willing them on.
The one on the far left who didn't answer remarkably successfully in her round really shone in the final. |

Yes they do but this is a British quiz to be answered in British English, football would have been the correct answer in the US Chase. If he had asked a question about Russian sport do you think it would have been acceptable to give the answer in Russian?.
Bradley should have accepted or at least asked her to expand her answer |

The other day, one of the questions was something like 'something, something, something is the shortest psalm in which book, to which the lady answered 'new testament'. The answer was 'old testament', but I wonder if it would have been allowed if she had said 'the bible' ? I guess 'the bible' was actually the answer on the card and then they had to adjudicate it as wrong once she gave the more specific answer...
