Why is Paul called the sinnerman??
The nicknames are daft.
Because his surname is Sinah. It's a pun. And maybe he's also a big fan of Nina Simone...

I thought the same but I think some peoples' nerves get the better of them and they don't fully hear the question.
I'd go along with that, given the number of times, not just on The Chase, but other quiz shows, where the contestant is asked for a capital and they name the country instead.

I think it's likely she will as the team won yesterday.

Libby was with me the night before the filming of this - her preparation and recording started at 7.15 in the morning - and mine at 11.15. She's a really lovely woman (and as we were quizzing each other the night before over dinner - a very good quizzer). I think the guy did good considering nerves and a couple of his questions were a bit rough - plus - you get to know your team beforehand and know their strengths and you want to give them confidence - you don't really want to say 'well that wasn't very good was it?'

It must have cheered up the team to see that it was Jenny the Jinx.

7:15am? I'd probably give some ridiculous answers at that time of the morning.

You don't start your quizzing at arrival time - there's a load of pre-production and stuff which takes at least a couple of hours. I had a great time on it - the only thing that would have been the icing on the cake would have been to win! LOL! I'd thoroughly recommend applying if you like the look of it - it is fun (if a bit nerve-wrecking).

I have only watched the last 3 episodes, what happens if a person doesn't earn any money to play for? Are they out or do they get offers?

Over-used phrases in the Chase:
"It's before my time Brad"
"We'll need some pushbacks"
"You're better than that"

Any more?

Hello Sheila,
What did they/you do for two hours in the pre-production? I'd be very interested to know. A lot of contestants say they had a great day even when they lose. I would love to have a go but I think I'd get heart palpitations in front of the cameras and pass out.

They are not out, what happens is they have the option of sticking on Zero or taking a higher amount that The Chaser offers.

Jenny should win but let's see if it's a struggle for her like her last few games.

I was a lot more nervous than I thought I'd be. The worst thing about it was it was OBVIOUS I was nervous as soon as I got in there. The production crew were absolutely brilliant though - really friendly and reassuring. As far as preparation - they go through some filming (watching videos of) what should and shouldn't be done (i.e. - looking in the right direction at each stage of the filming, etc). You take a couple of outfits which are taken from you to see how they react under the lights etc (certain patterns can cause strobing, some colours may disappear and make you look like a floating head, etc). You go through two minutes of questions with hand-held buzzers - then you have some time to yourself (in separate dressing rooms from your team-mates). The time does fly past but when it comes to the show - Bradley really does put you at your ease. We had Mark - but even he was quite sweet and not as frightening when you're there.

HAVE A GO! You'll enjoy it - even the audition I had in Liverpool was huge fun (much more fun than the auditions for Eggheads).

She managed a 20+ target in her debut game IIRC
