I felt sorry for melinda! I think she came across worse than she probably meant to this week.

Possibly. But she needs to let her defences down and lose her Hyacinth attitude.

You may well be in the minority, I have no sympathy for her, she is certainly old enough to know better.

Yes! They were like longer severed fingers. I thought someone might pick up on them but it was such a magnificent debacle that it was overlooked.

I did briefly, but then she was back to her 'my sh*t doesn't stink' self by the time she was reading the feed back.

I never thought I would, but I do miss Mr. Rolly-eyes smilie!!

I think he's just one of these people she likes to have around to boost her inflated ego.
And pander to her.

It's hard to feel sorry for someone when they behave badly.

From Connie Eleftherio FB page .....

Thanks to all who viewed tonight. I can't explain to you all how filthy the place actually was. Bed looked like a gorilla had slept in it and the room was full of bric a brac. So for a perfectionist who write books, she needs to rethink her career as I wouldn't let my worst enemy sleep there. All the other guests were really nice and good fun and I still keep in touch with Emanuel. He is the funniest guy I have ever met lol

Don't hold back ....

The book'll be one of those self published, free download on Amazon, how-I-endured-disaster-after-disaster stories.

She's so do-as-I-say and not do-as-I-do.

It's a quite ridiculous venue, I might as well throw open the front door and let people in.
I've got spare rooms and they're cleaner and more presentable right now with no warning. There's no dust in the drawers or random personal items in the cupboards either and all the bedding is fresh and spotless.

What an unprofessional set up from the dog going to greet the guests right through to not cleaning and clearing rooms and not knowing what on earth her pricing and provisions should be.

The breakfast service was a joke, she was only trying to feed five people for goodness sake.

I sort of did, because i do think they get caught up in all the reality stuff and perhaps she really isnt that bad.....

Possibly. But she needs to let her defences down and lose her Hyacinth attitude.
Yes that is what Connie said last night, he actually saw a bit of it he said that. I think its a little sad really as she has no idea how badly she has come across, but she nearly was crying at feedback. The nelly with her was as much use as a chocolate teapot.... what a plank.

Did you see all the other comments. Wow no one likes Melinda. It was also good to read people who know Connie and been to his place and say how good it all is. I see his missus is pregnant so he obviously does get time off.

Well so someone who has never cleaned or cook decides to open a B&B. A recipe for disaster.

If you dont clean then you have no idea about cleaning standards. Those rooms were bad apart from the large one suite.

There was NOTHING in them that a good clean would not have sorted out. Its simply not on to have dusty dirty drawers as the assumption is someone will want to put their clothes in there.

All personal stuff must be packed away.

The breakfast failed because she was trying to show off.

She should have just offered either a continental within the price, then charge extra for a full breakfast as the room rates would have allowed for that.

Just because the rooms are cheap doesnt mean you cant put the hoover around.

The breakfast well, the plates she did put out looked ok. She was cooking them 2 by 2, now we have had this before on 4 in a bed a few weeks back.

All she had to do was put the 2 plates in the oven with foil.....she wasted them both. She went back and just had an anxiety attack she knew she had overstretched the mark. The simple fact the kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it.....

God to cook a breakfast is so easy. Sausages can even go in the oven if necessary to cook. Nothing takes very long. You can even cook the sausages and keep them warm in the oven if you have too, even fried bread, as long as its not for ages.

She really didnt get it. Your place was not to standard. Simple.

You have to be experienced at least in cleaning and cooking.

She did say though that she had a cleaner and a cook, so where were they? I would sack the cleaner that is for sure.

Connie stepping in well he should have his own reality show. He was magnanimous doing that, after the feedback she gave him then she had the cheek to moan and scores of 4 for her breakfast, i would have given her no score, as she didnt actually cook it.

That friend of hers, well speachless...... if he is a hotel inspector why didnt he make sure her rooms were up to par? I dont think he did her any favours, perhaps he just appeases her all the time, as its easier in the long run.

Those rooms were not good. I think only Slyvias was ok, but i think on her web site they were in the suite?

Anyway I actually almost felt sorry for her.

I did not understand though her sausages were the same shape as Connies so what was all that about the day before, when she was moaning about his sausage shape (steady)?

Cant wait to see tonight. She really didnt like Eileens comments, but to be fair I would have probably have written a lot worse.

I think that's a really ugly thing to do - she presumably comes last with a large underpayment by Connie and perhaps others... yet he continues to put the boot in by saying it was even worse than shown... she may have upped her standards but he continues to try and damage her business. I thought Melinda was pretty awful but to continue to put the boot in is unnecessary.

Pensions? interest from investments...? and for the purposes of 4iaB, we don't need to know.

1) If you dont clean then you have no idea about cleaning standards.
<snip>
2) Connie stepping in well he should have his own reality show. He was magnanimous doing that...
<snip>

1) Yeah you do. I had cleaners when I was in the UK - I was perfectly capable of identifying who was doing a good job, when their standards started to slip (boredom and complacency) and when they needed to wear their specs to clean as they no longer saw cobwebs, etc, clearly. Cleaning isn't difficult but you need to be painstaking and consistent whether you're doing it yourself or paying someone else. Melinda's painstakingness was not great.

2) I wouldn't watch. I don't think he was magnanimous as much as seizing the opportunity to show her up (as if she wasn't already doing that effectively already) and score (or deduct) points. Remarks like the FB one reproduced above points to that. He ran a good business but I didn't like him at all and for that reason wouldn't stay at Bubbles.

3) Either he knew she wouldn't listen... or perhaps he was paying her back for something she'd done previously that seriously hissed him off... Or, of course, he may have been a seriously crap hotel inspector.

The voice of sanity at last. I have to say I dislike Connie more than any of the others, and for that reason wouldn't consider staying at his place - regardless of its value for money.

In fact the only place I'd stay is at the Fleece - the couple seemed nice people and their place was pleasant and good value.
