So its a boot camp then?
You will certainly feel like you've stayed in one after sleeping there.

Locked wardrobes in the room? its looking more and more a house that she and her family live in, that she opens up every now and then as a B&B if she needs a bit of money.
They're their rooms with the other child being probably packed off to a friends, she's in a small box room and 'two by four' sleeps out in a shed.

Do youngsters think its funny to be really thick these days
While I think Lewis is naturally the... shortest? banana in the bunch, I do wonder if he's hoping 4iaB will kickstart a career in reality tv. The daughter substitute looked incredibly po-faced when Lewis was displaying his... capabilities.

Obviously trying to get on a reality show.
The whole family are [trying to] make this all about them. They are pushing very hard to make themselves very different to the usual contestants - a somewhat risky strategy methinks? Do they think all of this will lead to a TV career ..

I can't see them getting their own reality show. They've got nothing special to offer. Unless there's some deep dark secret in their past. Maybe he was called Shirley in a former life.

Stains from ironing? I have never had such stains from ironing, and I iron everything.
In hard water areas particularly, some water reservoir steam irons blast out sediment occasionally if they are not drained and flushed through regularly. (And when that happens just as you finish a super-king duvet, you swear... then put the bedding out for washing again; it doesn't go on a bed). Perhaps that's what the stains were.

Wasn't keen on today's place. Themed rooms? Boot camp? The owners were nice enough though.

I don't like any of the other people much. Friday should be very interesting.

Wasn't that 3IAB at some kind of holistic place and the woman owner was really horrible?

I live in a hard water area and my iron usually just blasts out pieces of limescale and dust, it has never blasted out anything that would leave a brown stain.

On the castley camp webpage it doesn't even mention anything about b n b.
I think it's more of a personal fitness this, and they allow you to stay over night as well.

Plus Jo isn't even classed as the lead trainer on the "meet the staff" bit.

^^^ I agree with the above. I thought it was an awful episode as it seemed less about a B&B show, and more of a pilot for a lame people reality show. Celebrating stupidity and laziness through the endless cycle of "Lewisisms", together with the mother deflecting any criticisms of the operation of the B&B with a cheery "who cares" sort of comment. She just seemed to be pitching the whole concept of what a laugh a minute life she has with Lewis -, moaning about his laziness but seemingly revelling in it

The stained sheets and wobbly toilet were no nos, and similarly she should have checked the cupboards full of personal stuff, but again this was all met with cheery "oh well". I half expected her to wink to camera and say "that's life".
Please FIAB, can we have proper B&Bers.

Looks like mum has managed to get some new horrible nails. Should have spent the time on cleaning the place instead.
LOL
They had to change the dirty bedding themselves. I do not think they were petty at all.

I guess people can't win though? When they are laid back and unbothered by feedback it is criticised. When they feel personally attacked and complain about the feedback they are criticised.

They disappear one night,, dodgy prices, now the Daughter goes in place of the Mom,, what is their game
Just watched tonight's show, they certainly are playing fast and loose with the traditional format of the game. The early departure for no apparent reason and now swapping participants...is this usually allowed?

I have searched the web for bed and breakfast at Castley Camp and all I can find is 'glamping' in pods - no bed and breakfast and no accommodation within the house.

I suppose that, within reason, the show has to accommodate the fact that the smaller businesses are owner run with few or no staff.

If they've already taken bookings for the period that the show runs and there's something that must be taken care of at home, departures, (brief) absences or substitutions are always going to be a possibility. Even if they have a trusted person stepping in to run the business in their absence, if that person is ill or has an emergency of their own during the period, there's not much an owner can do but go back and deal with it. I don't think reasons have / need to be aired on the show.

They are having to change the covers themselves .... REALLY !!!!
I was going to say the same thing! I wouldn't be happy finding stained bedding in the first place and then to be expected to change the bedding myself! Beggars belief.

Just had a browse on the Court House's website, there's no availability for the whole of May except for one room type, something strange??

Hello people

I don't have any fancy TVs and always watch this programme on channel 4 OD at my leisure on my pc. Well, for series 10 they seem to have stopped at episode 5. I contacted them and they replied:

as episode 5 was the last programme which was broadcast in this particular series, there would be no further episodes available on All 4.

Odd that. Looks like I'll have to watch it in 'real' time, which is something I haven't done in years! Dang!

Compliments to the forumistas for the entertaining and interesting comments as usual.
