For sure, nothing could disguise that wrinkle in the nose which was always about to appear larger and deeper as the week went by They sure tried some tactics this week didn't they, don't think they have worked?
Makes me laugh that they criticised todays hosts for reducing their prices when they did exactly the same thing.

They didn't allow it before. This is a new thing.
I think the only thing that's new is so many properties being listed on sites like Airbnb, booking. com, TA, etc. If people had internet access there was nothing to stop them researching room prices. I would have.

I'm surprised nobody's done it before to be honest.

I thought I'd read on here a few times that the establishment has to charge the highest rate they charge throughout the year after a few 'how much?!' comments appeared.

Yes they do have to charge their peak rate price.

Thought so. Thanks.

I've lost where we are with those two. Are they actually charging their 'loss leader' prices on the programme that were available to all customers at the time the programme was recorded or are they undercutting their standard prices solely for the show? If the latter, why are the production company allowing it? If they are, it can't be to deliberately create tension surely...

I'm guessing that the conditions were peak price when booking direct with the property rather than peak price offered anywhere else on tinterweb where the booking is managed by a third party - booking .com, for eg.

The 4iaB contract may not have been altered to take account of the growth in listing sites... and probably it should not be providing that the price used on 4iaB is the highest the property will charge when approached direct.

The first 2 said they charged £80 just to drum up business. Todays 2 didn't give a reason. Maybe they just played tit for tat with the first 2.

The 'posh' couple have played an odd game. Rushing off Monday, dodgy prices Tuesday, substituted people on Wednesday (also being very (surprisingly) positive about Mondays and Wednesday's places) and then really off and negative about everything on Thursday!

Trying to be remembered?

For all the wrong reasons.

Watching this on plus 1, the woman with the shaved eyebrows thinks she is a celeb? lol

They all seems a bit bitchy this week.
Demanding her porridge and salmon at the same time! snobby moo,lol

Checking on comparison sites? I dont really think that it should be done. is the price a facility? I think not.

All the food looks good, well cooked and separate beans

Not enough time spent on the brekkie though, about 20 seconds?

Agree it should be what the price direct from the establishment is.

I wasn't sure if the prices Keith & Lisa charged were actually available from them online or were just for the programme. Seeing the 'special offer' web page on the guy's phone again tonight suggests they were but with the suggestion they were just there for that week.

I must have missed that tonight's had reduced their prices too. Can understand why they did it if so but you'd think the production company would make sure that couldn't happen. More credibility lost if so!

I think this week has just about killed this series for me - filled with petty stupid people who can't even understand that being petty and stupid on national TV will hurt rather than help them.

One thing has been puzzling me since the series started though, and it applies to 3iaB too. Why do people use those horrid bristle bog brushes when disposable ones have been available for years?

They are a lot cheaper and friendlier to the environment perhaps.

Disclaimer: these are my personal views and nothing more.

Couple 1 : Monday. Decent enough couple but the woman let herself down by getting involved in the nastiness and bitching. She is better than that and would have done herself a lot of good by zipping it on occasion.

Couple 2 : Tuesday. Insincere, untruthful, nasty, contemptuous waste of space. Have to be one of the nastier couples to be on 4IAB in a long time. That's a shame as their place was stunning. Still I guess their behaviour this week will be enough to stop them getting that TV show they want if there is any justice

Couple3 : Wednesday. Idiots. Playing dumb and being a bitch may be tried and tested techniques for Big Brother or I'm a Celebrity but they do you nothing but harm on a show where you are trying to promote your business. If they had behaved more "normally" they would have come across much better

Copule4 : Thursday. Fools. To not check the rooms for cleanliness when you have spent all week pulling others apart is just plain stupid. The excuse that they had been busy is no excuse and lets them down badly. As to the price variation not sure what that is about yet but suspect its tit for tat for what the Tuesday couple did

All in all one of the worse 4IAB in a long time. I suspect one couple are friends of the production team and why they got away with so much.

As to winners I think there are no winners this week, they are all losers in their own way

Lisa (?) is a piece of work. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they speak to serving staff, and her abrupt, dismissive manner when she ordered breakfast showed her up as the ignorant and domineering person she clearly doesn't think she is.

I noticed that too. She definitely has ideas above her station.

Lisa showing her true colours at last. Nasty bitch.
Horrible woman and she really showed herself up.

I can't stand these 'I'm lowering myself to be here as I'm above this' types. What a pair of obnoxious @#%*s Keith and Lisa are.
Both are horrible but Lisa is outstanding.

No charm or manners whatsoever. She spoke to the waiter like he was a lackey.

Quite superior wasn't she?

When did tonight's lot say they'd reduced their prices? I must be the only person that missed it!

I wasn't watching that closely - and I think the recaps are confusing as to whether it is current night comment or a recap of a previous night's comment - but the second occasion reductions were discussed was due to...

- the booking site showing a full-price of X
- and then the booking site book-now! discounted price of Y
- finally there's the third and lower still price (Z!) that the 4iaB participants were being charged by the hotel for the night

But I may have misinterpreted what was going on.

I'm sure viewers really don't care about price-gates and I think it's a mistake - or just a way of artificially ramping up tensions - for these irrelevant price variances to be discussed on screen.

Given how easily they stain and, in theory at least, have to be replaced, I'd be surprised if that was the case. It's not the business end () of the disposable ones that are flushed every time, after all. You'd think at least if you're being visited by competitors and. TV crew you'd switch to them for the day.

They didn't say. Mondays hosts went to a booking site online and noticed the room prices were double to what they were being charged.

I used to use a disposable one. They are not as effective at getting under the rim thoroughly clean. A brush is better.
