Re the uncooked bacon. Ive been served bacon like that in hotels where it sits in a server. It looks 'raw' but is actually cooked, it's just not crispy/grilled, looks more like boiled bacon. It's not how I like it either but we saw him cooking the bacon and bacon does not take long to cook on each side. Probably had too much oil so it broiled rather than browned.
I've seen it like that on the breakfast buffet at the hotel we stay at in London.

Just checked and the town centre is only up the road. Maybe they popped to Argos!

Not keen on her. Clearly, she was checking everyone else's breakfast as well as her own and generally looking for things to complain about. She was very curt and dismissive to Ray when he offered her something different. Also the way she speaks to her business partner is awful.
Yes perhaps Argos but really why would you bother, you would complain surely. It still means the bed mattress was smaller then the bed lol... It made no sense. The chances of them having time to do that was pretty remote I would have thought.

Yes I dont like her, I am surprised that guy is still with her. She needs to get over herself.

Loads of B&Bs dont offer a vegetarian option. The ones who do actually how many compromise the food. i.e. cook the mushrooms, egg in oil that has had bacon and sausages cooked in it already.

Most vegetarians I know are quite happy to just eat cereal for that reason. There are quite a few B&B now who are just vegetarian/vegan.

I am gluten free and every place i have stayed not one offer gluten free menu yet people who are celiac have more chance of being ill eating it.... So I always go self catering now.

I am looking forward to tonights. Let's just see how the breakfast goes lol.

As a life-time vegetarian I long-ago accepted that the world does not revolve around my diet preferences, which is why I prefer to eat at home. However, there is nothing to stop you enjoying a good cooked breakfast without relying on bacon and sausages - vegetarian or not (yes, apparently there is such a thing as vegetarian bacon!). Many contestants moan about their breakfast, and it's usually they don't have a cooked breakfast, they don't have (meat) sausages, they don't have enough bacon rashers, there's no baked beans, there's no fried bread. Dear lord how much do people need to eat first thing in the morning! Having said that one or two contestants have looked as if they've snacked on the bedding in the night!

FLIPPING heck its her that needs to get a reality check. LOADS of hotels dont do veggie sausages.

You seem to forget this is on going filming for about 2 weeks. Perhaps he wasnt in a position where he could get veggie sausages for her, who knows. He cooked her a vegetarian meal. Why should all these people put up with her nonsense. She is a pain in the backside. AND WHEN SHE WAS GIVING a vegetarian sausage day 1 she moaned and said it WASNT A VEGETARIAN SAUSAGE lol.... you cant win with her lol.

Vegetarian for breakfast is the easiest thing in the world without all the demands. You can have cereal, toast, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans. This programme is about small B&B his was a TWO STAR, at least he offered a cooked breakfast.

ENOUGH ALREADY with the pigging sausages lol. Sick of reading about them. She was ignorant she could have tried what he made, and dont forget you have no idea if he sold it to her or not as the programme is highly edited.
FLIPPING heck INDEED. You must be nancy's sister. Bottom line is she turned down some vegetables and chose something else but they deliberately presented it as a mountain out of a molehill. However the editing is apparently only done to suit FM's agendas. Wish I'd known it FILMED OVER 2 weeks AS IT's NEVER been mentioned BEFORE.

Having a different opinion on here is getting more and more dangerous every week.

Isn't it just, he looks like he is scared of her .. What a week it has been on FIAB: loving it in a perverse way, no fun when they all love each other and start over-paying As has been pointed out quite consistently above FIAB is a reality TV show, heavily edited after the events have taken place.

Yeh it works both ways lol.

I was talking to a lass who worked at that Foxy, they were there for about 4 days, she reckoned over 2 weeks roughly her boss was missing which is about right isnt it they average about 12/16 days filming for each section perhaps that the contestants take so much luggage.

It was just a thought and in reality why bother? They should have told Ray.

That Donna woman is on a mission. A veggie sausage mission. If only she'd been on last week's prog. She could have have had frozen bubble and squeak!

12/16 days for each section? Does that mean for every visit and payment day - 5 days x 12/16 days? That sounds ridiculous.

It wasn't a mattress cover, it was a plastic dust sheet, the sort used by decorators.

No, I think Lucy is counting a transmitted week as a section, so 12/16 days filming condensed into 4 episodes and the final payment.

BIB. So I am probably also about to set myself up in front of the firing squad.

BUT

I cannot for the life of me understand why a vegetarian wants something that looks like meat or fish! Vegetarian sausages; vegetarian bacon; "gammon style" vegetarian roast; tofu king prawns. All these are available. But if I didn't want to eat meat or fish for whatever reason, why would I want meals that still looked like dead creatures?

I did wonder!

It's easy to see why it would be quite a few days as each stay is 2 days, so that's 8 days. and surely they don't rush to the next place after each stay. They probably stay over somewhere and have a break from filming. So it's easy to see why the filming takes sometime.

I'm going to have to grab the husband and do a road trip of England sometime. I see some really pretty places on this show.

It looks no more like meat than the piece of meat, which doesn't really look like an animal does it? just flat slab or a rolled shape.last time I looked at a burger it looked nothing like a cow.

We veggies get this all of the time ( I have listened to meat eaters quizzing me about this for nearly 40 years,) and it got really old in 1978.
