Next week looks likes it's also going to be people being really picky!

I'm convinced we see less and less each episode though. Tonight it barely seemed to contain any 'discussion' other than cutting to comments

We know that and the guy who checked the site knew that. But he said he checked for a room for the same period they were staying there and it came up as £143. Who cares now anyway. It's over with. No point in mulling over it. Onwards and downwards to next week.
I think they realised there was a mistake, that is why the Middleham couple were embarrassed about their first underpayment. I am not mulling over it, I am waiting for my tea. I think you have misinterpreted it and the hotel blokes shot themselves in the foot. And the bloke that didn't show looked like Sinbad from Brookside with a Mandarin moustache.

...I am destined to be in their pub in the near future, wish they had been nicer.
I'm sure they're fine.
This programme seems to show more and more people in a poor light.

I couldn't even begin to guess

...

Oh deep joy.

Onwards and downwards seems to sum it up.

This show is now being dragged down by the tactics these people are using in order to win....now they are going online during filming and checking out each others rates.

Horrible couple won. They'll most likely get some bother on Tripadvisor. That big underpayment was uncalled for.

If Mrs Posh-Place can come and go as she pleases, good on the boss of the Lion for not turning up and well done the manager of the Lion for handling the feedback etc. brilliantly. The absence of the owner and the attitude of the manager totally deprived Mrs Posh-Place of too much satisfaction at her big underpayment and smugness at being the winner.

That's a very precise number. Anything you would care to share with the group?

You know, I kept thinking the exact same thing. They used to show a discussion between at least 2 B&Bers on the last night, but now there's lots of voiceover, maybe one point gets brought up and that's it. Maybe if they focused less on hoiked up boobs and dirty fingernails, they would have more air time to spare for the actual programme.

Sorry to self-quote, just wondered if anybody else had been struggling with this.
Hiya bit late now for this week, but I was also having trouble watching the programme on All 4 (what was called 4od!) In the end the only way I could find it was not to look under the actual programme title.

Instead you can go the heading (top right on my screen version of the app), called 'catch up' which lets you find programmes via the schedule (ie 5pm channel 4 etc) and hey presto you can watch the current episode.

Hope that makes sense and helps for next week - if this week's shenanigans haven't put you off

Hi there, I just thought I'd come on and say 'hi' given I'm a newbie here, so 'hi'...

I was watching Four in a Bed this week on my own for a bit of mindless escapist rubbish, wishing I could rant/ moan/ chat about it with someone else but couldn't find anyone who'd seen it so I googled to see if there were forum posts on in and lo! I found this thread

Then I spotted a chap struggling to watch it on catch up, which I had also found hard this week, so thought I'd dive right in and post something...!

There were some very dodgy goings-on in this week's episodes! I could not believe the couple who won, felt as if there was no justice at all found them smarmy and am convinced they were not telling the truth about their room rates.

Anyway back in the real world none of this matters a jot - just got a spot of the insomnia

"Didnt have time to clean the room?" so they leave the old bedsheets & towels for the next people? UGH. And a grown lad sleeps with his mum, YUK., even if it was twin beds. And what was all the leaving/swapping about.

I watched this week by going onto the channel 4 listings page. Click on most programmes there after the airing and you have the catch up facility.

It seems the manager of The Lion is now working elsewhere. Hope he's appreciated

Some hotels put twin beds together with a bedside cabinet either side of the bed. Linked beds are also sold as twin rooms. It's not a problem.

I'm sure this must have been said before but I think if 4iab is to continue, there needs to be some tweaks to the format.
I think we should get to see the feedback forms being filled out as we do now, but the contestants shouldn't see it themselves until the end of the week before they all sit down for payment.
This will cut out all the tit for tat, which imho is spoiling the show.
Also I think they tend to breeze through the feedback and issues raised on the final day round the table, I would prefer less recapping and more discussion of issues.
The activity part....... We fast forward through that bit!

Any thoughts?

I agree totally, especially about payment day when we see very little new content. There has always been too much recapping in FIAB but it seems much worse this series.
It would be great if the feedback wasn't seen until payment day, we'd get much more honest appraisals and a 'shock value' on payment day.
I would like payment day to be an hour. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for the producers to guess what the hosts are going to pick up on in the feedback and they could play back the relevant bits to them at the time. When they claim the payer is lying then everyone would see the truth while they are round the table. This will never happen, I know, but it would wipe the smirks off some faces.

Instead of the activities we need to see more of each B&B. Is there a residents lounge, access to the garden, car parking, a dry room for walkers, the usual check in and out times and so on. The actual facilities that are offered instead of irrelevant time wasters.

I don't mind the activities too much, although what really gets on my t*ts is the constant "I think he's competitive", "oh she seems the competitive type!" Comments...every activity, every three seconds we get a competitive comment by one of the contestants!

I also agree about the feedback, it definitely favours those who go first.

I think they should show something local to them, an attraction to come to their area's.

Have to say I wasn't pleased to see the cheats win this past week when I caught up this morning. Of course they would win, the rooms are clearly worth more than the low price they charged just for the show, they most likely believed people would be over paying, at least they didn't. I don't think they deserved their win though.
