I think the 2 witches will under pay everyone in order to win.
I agree with you, I especially think there will be some serious underpayment for the Billys.

Judging by their episode, I doubt they'll be receiving full payment either.

It's pure jealousy. I knew there would be.
she did turn a delicate shade of green when she saw how lovely the two Billy`s place was....Sheesh, is she sour or what?

She looks like she's always sucking a lemon. The midwife probably slapped her mother when she was born.

Sour as can be. It was a lovely room, but she couldn't just acknowledge that fact, had to say she preferred more colour - her own rooms are in the best possible taste of course ... Otherwise was the breakfast that bad? OK the fruit did not look the best but Billy provided some nice looking fruit salads upon hearing the moaning and the cooked breakfast looked delicious.

I like Bill, Billy and Marie. The Blackpool women and Michael aren't so nice though. Not sure about Michael's wife.

Anyway, we'll see what's what tomorrow.

God. The jealousy waa oozing from some of that lot today.

The breakfast, I thought, looked good. Sparse? How much do they expect. Moaning about no fruit when they were shown eating fruit. Whining about platesmwhen they could have asked. Stupid moans about no ketchup or brown sauce just showed their lack of class. The nillys breakfast was the best of the week. Their rooms were beautiful and I would say worth every penny.

The Billys place was absolutely lovely, and as others have said the two Blackpool ladies' jealousy is quite pathetic to see. The thing that always gets me, which was highlighted tonight, is how much some people expect or are able to eat in the morning. Billy's breakfast was described as sparse, when I saw cooked ham, continental meats, cheeses, fruit and cereals and that was before the cooked offerings! I love my food but the most I can eat at breakfast is either a bit of toast or some eggs and bacon.

It crossed my mind that perhaps Billy Jr. doesn't normally get involved in breakfast but did so on this occasion so that the other guests would feel he was making an effort, hoping not to get marked down for being absent. It might explain the slowish service, forgetting a plate, lack of usual condiments, etc. Not that I would mark down or underpay for lack of ketchup, you just ask for some and be done with it.

I thought the complaint was that the ketchup was on the side table, not on the diner's table? It's not an unusual setup - no point in cluttering up the eating area with all possible condiments that may or maynot be used. I sometimes wonder if these B&B owners actually travel very much as they seem so ignorant of common practice at times.

I think the Billys place was nicest this week, shame there were a few "open goals" that will allow others to underpay. But they certainly gave a good account of themselves and will get some business out of this week (which is, of course, the real prize)

Ah, my bad, I didn't pick up on that. We have a new cat and telly watching is accompanied by doting on our new addition.

I'll let you know what it's like if you'd like me to.

We've been to Ross on Wye twice, last time we stayed at The Kings Head, it was lovely there too, very clean, couldn't see any hairs or pee on the seat, or dust 😀
Yes please.

Awwwll!

I recall your thread in advice, good to hear you and the new cat are happy!

You could always post some pix in the "Mad cat owners" thread in the pets forum

I thought I'd misunderstood the breakfast when that daft bint from Blackpool said it was a bit sparse, I was right in thinking you had the cold buffet and then the hot options, wasn't I ?

It certainly is, and it surprises me how many of the competitors don't seem to realise this as they act nastily, nitpick and underpay in the hopes of winning. Self-defeating behaviour when they could have made a much better impression on potential customers.

I think because the Billys were charging over twice what she does, she expected to be stuffed to the gunnels with fine foods. Doesn't work like that though, love.

I'd happily stay at all of the places this week with the exception of the Canberra.

Nasty cheap run of the mill Blackpool boarding house with most rooms looking like a tarts boudoir, and equally horrible looking breakfast served in the Black Hole of Calcutta. I don't care if it's only £55 night, I wouldn't stay there if she paid ME!

I walked past the place yesterday, it was absolutely tiny! Very average-looking, blink-and-you'll-miss-it type of B&B. If she wanted to do the programme to drum up some business, I don't think she did herself any favours by being so critical about stuff.

Me too, jeez how much do these people want to eat in a morning. The continental was exactly right (coming from a continental family), i would have had a small plate of the meats and a bit of cheese with bread. Maybe some fruit and that would be me done. How they could eat a buffet, then moan about fruit salad (when there was fresh fruit on display), then eat a full cooked breakfast no wonder why she made a big splash when she fell into the water lol....

Trouble is they are the last to be on, so they have very limited time to get back and make sure everything is in place. I think there was a delay by the film crew which through him perhaps. I am sure he isnt like that usually, and I doubt he does it normally like you said.

That women would have moaned at anything even if it was perfect. Who has ketchup on continental anyway lol.

Surely they have the same time as everyone else? (bar those going first of course)
