I don't think they are expected to pay for 3 nights.
I misunderstood the silly old trout, why even mention "based on a 3 night stay" it's irrelevant to the show. Did not realise the price quoted was per night.

So they all have to use the same kitchen,, i didnt see the start so i thought the kitchens were separate, , this place, from price to shared kitchen is a definite No No for me

They are separate. They just all got together to have breakfast together.
