She thinks it's good news that they've won by game playing. Boy is she in for a shock.

Speaking of ironing boards, I have never had one in a hotel room. Always in self-catering apartments, but never in a hotel room.

I think the real game players were Donna and partner.

I actually think Marlene and Boycies was the worse place for value for money tbh,, there is no way i would pay £105 for their room which look like an old persons home.
The last place for a similar price was a lot better imo

I agree. It wasn't worth anywhere near that amount.

Just heard the Mardy one griping because she thought someone underpaying £20 because of road noise at least it's a better excuse than not liking the taps

Sorry I meant to imply that Ray expected a FULL payment from them
And expecting to be 2nd or 3rd

Only just caught the end. What a shallow win for that awful couple

I do wish that on the judgement day they would show the hosts video/ photographic evidence of what they are complaining about. Now THAT would be spectacular to watch.
And so easy to do, give them an ipad and ask them to document anything they complain about.

Donna you did play a game, your underpayments were OTT.
-£10 for Swallows Rest, can't recall why
-£5 off The Burley Inn because the taps, though clean and functional were 'basic design'
-£25 from the Hotel Monteville, not the biggest deduction, but at least the mattress fitted the bed frame.

Ray's under payments
-£10 for the colour of pillow cases when he said the linen was dirty but had to concede it was clean
-£20 because the B&B was located in a pub and he didn't approve of their furniture
-£5 because the iron and ironing board had to be requested rather than being present in the room

Fair amount of game playing with those underpayments I think.
By contrast Darren and James paid two in full and only deducted £10 off Ray's price which they substantiated with what they pay in other basic B&Bs. Redditch does not command any kind of premium.

I did like the reprise of all Jane's flowery and glittery outfits though. I thought she'd been out and replenished her wardrobe for the occasion

I'd have liked a tie between The Burley Inn and The Silverton.

Do you know, sometimes I think that's for the best.

I really liked them too. They seemed kind, critical in a genuine way when they needed to be and were witty.
I actually believed that he thought the bacon was parma ham

Brendan would love them, I think he has a similar sense of humour.
I liked the shock at the 'thundering traffic' "It's not exactly the M25 is it"

Yes, that was completely ridiculous and unfair. There was nothing wrong with the taps.

Well, we're always saying on here that this programme is an amazing opportunity for B&Bs to advertise not only their rooms, but themselves as hosts, because anyone viewing will be put off by unpleasant hosts even if the rooms/breakfasts are lovely. For that reason, I think Darren and James are the true winners this week.

I don't care who gets the "officialy" wins. Darren and James are the real winners

I agree. I would stay at their place, but none of the others.

Looks like Marlene and Boycie have won by paying tactically.

Boo, Hiss!

Speaking of ironing boards, I have never had one in a hotel room. Always in self-catering apartments, but never in a hotel room.
I frequently stay in Marriott Hotels, and there is always an iron and ironing board. I have also stayed in other pubs/hotels in London where I have got them too.

I agree I would love to stay at their place just to be in their company.
I repeat, I would stay there, but none of the others this week.

So.

Old Fart and old Fart's wife and their farty old B&B won.

How did that happen?

I demand a recount.

I am speechless at Ray. He needs to wake and see his B & B is disgusting.

I agree with others Darren and James should have won. What lovely fellas they are.
