He had quite good comments ,I cant see any there that would warrant a harsh underpayment.

I like Cameron and it was good to see him accept the comments and not get in a huff like some do

Yes they have managed to up set every other B&H with personality inquisitions? They do seem to be bitter, jealous and judgemental. With regards to Cameron, it was if they were trying to use his sexuality as a tool to discredit him. So disingenuous and bigoted.

Quiet in here tonight!

They are right, he is just the manager, and wont have the same kind of passion and money tied up in the business.
He seems pretty passionate to me, particularly as he's on this show so he could be seen to be show-casing himself should he ever wish to move on. He does seem pretty intense though & he's very young to be a GM but he's so enthusiastic, I would worry that he doesn't ever relax & I wonder how much of a life he has outside of the hotel.

It's wrong that his place is up against Sue's as they couldn't be more different, the programme makes this weeks contestants very unfair.

I would like Cameron's place to win but I suspect Sue's will because I think Cameron will overpay her.

I'm likely to miss tomorrow nights so will record & no doubt find out the result either on here or on the FIAB Facebook page.

But does that matter in the context of the show: best value b&b (or small hotel... or self-catering lodge... ).

As we've seen over the multiple series, owners with 3 or 4 rooms they take care of themselves still get bedding, cleanliness, facilities (adequate waterflow to showers, for eg) wrong - sometimes because they make it too personal and choose things they personally like... soft toys, too many trinkets cluttering up rooms.

A manager may be less likely to arrange teddy bears around beds or to pin the ears of guests back with tales of planning permissions, renovating rooms, the story behind each shrub in the garden and fantasy plans for the future... but that's no bad thing, is it?

I was a bit surprised that Cameron was asked about his sexuality. Perhaps people who are too wedded to social media where too much info is often easily available to anyone looking have lost sight of what's appropriate to ask / discuss in certain social (or, in this case, business) settings and what isn't. Whatever... they got it spectacularly wrong - for themselves and for their business.

Those 2 oiks are always trying to stir things. Although I did find it odd that Cameron said he puts on a camp persona because it's good for business.

I don't see what is wrong with asking whether he's gay or not in this day and age. Going on about it afterwards is the problem.

Most of the scores and feedback this week has been fair though, nothing has been too petty. Looks like there are underpayments tomorrow tho!

To be fair, I don't think Lauren & Callum asked him directly if he was gay, more they asked if had a partner, although they probably thought that was a subtle way of asking. Thing is, the others commented that they weren't asked if they had a partner, that's what made their line of questioning worse in my view.

It doesn't matter either way but I don't think it's a bad question to ask, just perhaps they should have asked everyone, after all, Erica & Sue were with other ladies but they would have had a partner who didn't want to join he visits.

I am sure Cameron is the young man on today?

I hope he wins as he is the most deserving for me.

I

Pot. Kettle. Black. "Their" business is owned by Callum's family!
Such narrow-minded, petty, judgmental behaviour in such young people - but typical of shallow individuals with naive ideas of what is acceptable.

Those 2 are really getting on my nerves, this week.

FGS they are managers not owners, loved it at breakfast when they got shot down again, when will they learn.

So it's not actually Callums business, it's his family that own it, lol....deluded, entitled little boy thinks he's a man of the world running his own business.....no mister, it's your parents who take the fall if it goes wrong not you, and would you get a job doing what you are doing independently of them I wonder.

Lovely to have the safety net of your parents isn't it.
