I never eat baked beans for breakfast, but lots of people do. They really should be a choice on a breakfast menu nowadays.

I don't think i could ever eat fish for breakfast
Again, all a matter of choice. I LOVE smoked salmon and scrambled egg, and sometimes haddock with a poached egg. Where does some of the best smoked salmon come from? Scotland!!!!!! I really would have expected to see it on his menu.

Bob is getting on my pip.....

I have had cotton wool provided. And cotton buds. It was a five star hotel costing a massive amount more than this week's FIAB places. I would never expect them in places costing less than £200, let alone less than £100!

LOL she's an awful woman , two faced and gameplaying
She is really proving how nasty she can be now. Another one doing her business no favours then!

Yes beyond ridiculous, just shows the woman who gave the score up as being spiteful and unable to accept the criticisms she received for her B&B, it always makes me smile when contestants who feel they have been taken to task award these ridiculous low marks when the rest of the contestants are scoring more or less fairly. I'm not liking Bob at all but he seemed to take her comments with a pinch of salt, let us see what he has to say to her on Friday .. it will be interesting I am sure

Bob is pretty irritating but her scoring was spiteful tit for tat. And when you think of her rooms with a kettle on the floor, and no bedside table, it looks even more absurd.

In the real world of course you'd barely meet Bob if you stayed at his place. His Sis-in-law seems quite lovely though. I do wonder where Mrs Bob is? Off on a bin-buying trip?

"Not Scottish enough" - must be silliest complaint of the week? Mind you with this set of competitors I wouldn't bet on it Hope Bob & Kirsty say their place is "Not English enough"!

I apologise if this is cutting across the theme of the current comments on this show, but as someone who has recently had a of time on his hands (through being off work ill) and as someone who decided to spend some of it by watched a lot of TV repeats (quite unlike me, as it happens), I thought I'd offer two or three questions on this programme.
I apologise if any of these comments have been made before elsewhere (I'm sure they have, but couldn't find them mentioned in any other posts), but why is it that:

1. Whenever we have a gay male couple on the show they seem unable to resist either taking the other contestants to a gay showbar, or having one of them burst into a room in some sort of gay drag? This, to me, does a pretty bad disservice to the gay community in general as it makes it look like they're so obsessed with their campness that they can't resist thrusting it in the face of everyone else, whether the 'everyone else' is either interested or not. I can't imagine the other (straight) contestants being so obsessed with letting gay people know they're straight, and I think it would be very interesting to ponder if the gay contestants would feel the need to act like this if the situation ever arose that all the contestants in a given who were gay.

2. Why is it that after so many series of this programme being screened, it seems that the contestants haven't yet cottoned on to the fact that absolutely every other contestant will go through the now very tedious and hackneyed practice of running their fingers along the tops of wardrobes, paintings and anything else with a flat surface, and why is it that they don't make sure they won't be caught out on this? The same with 'hairs in beds' and anything that could be described as some sort of stain in toilet pans or on the seat.

3. Why is it that the vast majority of the female contestants shriek so loudly and in such a high pitched, affected manner when the other contestants arrive on their doorsteps?

Any thoughts on any of these points, anyone?

I kind of like Bob. He's a bit annoying and likes to brag but he seems to take things in stride and is probably pretty easy-going. I could be wrong.

Kate is really making herself look bad by scoring Bob so harshly when everyone can see it's quite nice. Ordering something not even on the menu and complaining? I hope she comes last. And expecting cotton buds or cotton balls? Just no. You bring them yourself you numpty.

Weird that Bob said his room at K&C's was small/compact and she said the same about her room at his place. So they both have some rooms that are smallish why have it as a complaint if the price is reasonable? I could see pointing it out if you're being charged £140+ per night, at that price you'd expect another level of comfort.

I wish they would stop calling the feedback forms 'anonymous' when they clearly aren't. Every week the hosts are able to discern which forms was filled out by what guest either because of the room layout, facilities, or what they had at breakfast.

Any thoughts on any of these points, anyone?
1. Don't really know but it does seem to be a theme that such contestants' sexuality is made a thing of and they seem to need to flaunt it and show off. Where are the more discrete ones? I'd imagine that the production team encourages it, especially the choice of activities but it does seem a bit OTT. It's not just FIAB, it's other shows too but having said that, the current series hasn't seen quite so much of it. Fewer gay participants, perhaps?

2. Mad, isn't it? You'd think that their main reason for doing the show would be to showcase their businesses. Winning isn't be the all and end all, yet so many quickly descend into spitefulness, jealously and rudeness. The real winners are surely those that can maintain some dignity. Again, I daresay that the production team encourages some of it in order to generate some conflict but at the end of the day if you don't do or say something, they can't use it against you! Seems that some people get a bit of criticism and the red mist comes down. From what we've been able to work out before, it seems that a proportion of the contestants are approached by the production company direct, so it may be that they don't watch the show and didn't know what they were letting themselves in for, or how to play it. You'd think they'd do some prior research, though, it's hardly difficult to get hold of some old episodes.

3. Undoubtedly that's what the production team want. Weird really!
